Former WANNA ONE Members Surprise Yoon Jisung during Online Fan Meeting

Some WANNA ONE members had a mini-reunion during Yoon Jisung's online fan meeting on Christmas.

On Dec. 25, singer and actor Yoon Jisung held an online fan meeting following his military discharge on Dec. 13 after one year and seven months. Broadcasted exclusively through the Interpark website, the event was held to keep the promise to the fans - before Jisung enlisted in May, fans wished to have a fan meeting on Christmas after he completes his military service.

Called "Christmas Story," the online event was organized by his current agency LM Entertainment. During the fanmeet, six familiar faces unexpectedly appeared while Yoon Jisung was blindfolded. He tried to guess who these six people are by touching their hands. Former WANNA ONE members Bae Jinyoung, Park Jihoon, Ha Sungwoon, Lee Daehwi, Kim Jaehwan, and Park Woojin joined Jisung to entertain their fans on Christmas.

The idols played different games together, making fans happier than ever. Those who watched the whole fan meeting described them as cheerful boys like they were before. That solid bond between them can still be seen throughout the fanmeet.

Yoon Jisung's online fan meeting became the way to see some of the former WANNA ONE members together this year. The disbanded boy group was in talks to have a reunion and perform at the 2020 Mnet Music Asian Awards last November, however, it did not push through as the members were busy with their solo or group activities.

WANNA ONE was formed by CJ E&M through the second season of the reality survival show called "Produce 101." The group was made up of 11 members, namely Kang Daniel, Ong Seong Wu, Park Jihoon, Lee Daehwi, Lai Kuanlin, Kim Jaehwan, Yoon Jisung, Park Woojin, Bae Jinyoung, Hwang Minhyun, and Ha Sungwoon.

The boy band made its debut in August 2017 under Swing Entertainment and CJ E&M with the extended play titled "1x1=1 (To Be One)." The EP featured the title song "Energetic," which Billboard described as a song containing "tempo shifts which seamlessly energize the momentum of the song" and which "bounces between rhythms with ease."

WANNA ONE's contract ended in December 2018, but ahead of their disbandment, the group released their first studio album "Power of Destiny" in November. Even though the band's exclusive contract concluded on Dec. 31, WANNA ONE still attended year-end shows and award ceremonies throughout January 2019. In addition, the male act held its final concert titled "Therefore" in four days at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul where the group conducts its debut showcase.

Yoon Jisung is one of the members who continued his activities as a solo artist. He made his solo debut in February 2019 with the extended play "Aside." In April and May of the same year, the singer released the special album "Dear Diary" and the digital single "Winter, Flower," respectively. "Winter, Flower" served as Jisung's gift to his fans and his last release before he enlisted as an active-duty soldier. While he was in the military, Yoon was cast in the military musical "Return: The Promise of the Day."
