Reports state that Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and VIXX's Ravi have been dating for around a year. Shortly after, the agencies of the two K-pop stars issued statements in regards to the matter.
On Dec. 27, Joynews24 reported that Girls' Generation's Taeyeon and VIXX's Ravi have been dating for approximately a year. They stated that on Christmas morning, they spotted the male idol picking up the female artist at her home in Seongsu-dong, and went to his place near Sunreung where they spent the holiday together.
A friend who is close to both Taeyeon and Ravi confirmed that the two were introduced to each other and became comrades about a year ago. And it is said that since then, the two singers have been together, according to Joynews24. Following the news, the management agencies of the two idols released statements concerning their dating news.
Girls' Generation's Taeyeon's management agency, SM Entertainment, stated that the report is not true and that "they only have a close sunbae and hoobae friendship since working together on Ravi's song." VIXX's Ravi's founded label, GROOVL1N, on the other hand, stated, "It's the first time that we're hearing of their so-called relationship."
However, GROOVL1N, issued another statement opposing their initial stance. The company now stated that Taeyeon and Ravi are indeed dating. "It's true that they're dating. Please do not make any guesses, so they can have a good relationship," the label claimed.
But then again, GROOVL1N opposed the dating news of Taeyeon and Ravi, stating that the two celebrities became close while working on music together, and have been getting along with each other as friends. The company said that they are unsure how their second previous claim was made.
Meanwhile, some fans shared in an online community that they knew the two idols were dating as they noticed that a few of the photos posted by Girls' Generation's Taeyeon on Instagram were taken at VIXX's Ravi's studio.
Last November 28, VIXX's Ravi was a guest on "Amazing Saturday" where Girls' Generation's Taeyeon is currently one of the mainstays. In addition, on Dec. 21, Taeyeon appeared as a guest on Naver Now's "Question Mark," which is being hosted by Ravi.
Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has just released her fourth Korean-language extended play titled "What Do I Call You" on Dec. 15. The EP consists of six singles including the title track of the same name and her previous digital single "Happy." The title track immediately placed first on major music charts such as Bugs and Genie upon its release. Also, the EP topped iTunes charts in 22 countries, as well as in China's largest music site QQ Music and KuGou Music digital album sales chart.
VIXX's Ravi also launched new music this year, particularly a new mini-album titled "Paradise" last July. It contains six songs including the title track that shares the same name as the mini-album. The title track features the idol's friend Ha Sung Woon of HOTSHOT and was written and co-composed by Ravi.
