On Dec. 27, Sunday, the Korean Brand Research Institute released their brand reputation rankings for singers in South Korea for the month of December. Keep on reading to see the whole rankings here.
The Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 142,594,505 pieces of data from Nov. 27 to Dec. 27 concerning numerous singers in South Korea. To determine their brand reputation index, they determine a singer or a group of singers consumer participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the available data of 154,486,827 in November, the data decreased by 7.70%.
The brand reputation ranking is an index determined through data analysis and analyzes the habits of consumers and the impact of singers on brand consumption. Through the analysis of a singer or a group of singers' brand reputation, we can see the positive and negative influences of a singer the media's interest in them, and the amount of attention they receive from consumers.
First place goes to BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) ranked at first place with a brand reputation index of 14,129,164. They have a participation index of 3,655,182, a media index of 3,513,070, a communication index of 3,658,559, and a community index of 3,302,354. Compared to their brand reputation index of 16,394,907 in Nov., their index dropped by 13.82%.
The second place goes to Lim Young Woong, a popular trot singer, with a brand reputation index of 10,573,509. He has a participation index of 4,349,794, a media index of 1,496,439, a communication index of 2,052,143, and a community index of 2,675,134. Compared to his brand reputation index of 11,604,047 in Nov., his index dropped by 8.88%.
BLACKPINK (Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa) ranked in third place with a brand reputation index of 7,999,418. The girl group has a participation index of 779,600, a media index of 2,016,628, a communication index of 2,799,690, and a community index of 2,403,500. Compared to their brand reputation index of 6,154,886 in Nov., their index rose by 29.97%.
TWICE (Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu) snagged fourth place with a brand reputation index of 5,578,631. The girl group has a participation index of 900,170, a media index of 1,404,990, a communication index of 989,925, and a community index of 2,283,547. Compared to their brand reputation index of 9,987,614 in Nov., their index fell by 43.64%.
Fifth place goes to Young Tak, another popular trot singer, with a brand reputation index of 5,448,629. They have a participation index of 1,973,401, a media index of 926,367, a communication index of 1,187,706, and a community index of 1,361,155. Compared to his brand reputation index of 4,823,777 in Nov., his index rose by 12.95%.
