South Korean idol Kang Daniel is revealed to be one of the featuring artists for a new track by musician and producer Inverness, along with Anthony Russo. The song is set to be released this month!
On Jan. 4, EDM producer and American artist Inverness, who is active in North America, took to Twitter to reveal the album cover art for his upcoming single. Both Kang Daniel and Anthony Russo also shared the album cover via Twitter, alongside the pre-save link of the song.
Titled "State of Wonder," the track will feature K-pop idol Kang Daniel and American pop singer Anthony Russo, and be launched on Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. KST together with its music video. It will be Daniel's first song to be launched locally with American artists.
The "State of Wonder" will be released in North America and Monstercat, a Canadian independent electronic music record agency, will be responsible for the distribution. Monstercat is known to be a label that has produced world-class artists such as Marshmello, Kaskade, Slushii, and Vicetone.
Kang Daniel has previously collaborated with Inverness and Anthony Russo when the artists worked on the K-pop idol's songs, including his most recent title track "Who U Are" and more from his mini-album "MAGENTA" that was released in August 2020.
Inverness is known to create songs in different genres and has been teaming up with many artists for his tracks since 2016. His latest release is his sixth single "Good Feeling," which features Brandyn Burnette and Molly Moore and was launched in October 2020. The song is included on Monstercat Instinct Vol. 7.
Singer-songwriter Anthony Russo is also known for challenging himself in different music genres. He boasts 70 million streams on Spotify, and is dubbed the "Millenial Justine Timberlake." A few of his popular songs are "California," "I Jusswon," "Rewind," and "Ghost Stories."
Meanwhile, Kang Daniel has been making a name for himself as a solo artist in South Korea. After Wanna One, the boy group in which he was one of the members, disbanded in January 2019, Kang moved to LM Entertainment but he later left the agency and built his own label, Konnect Entertainment.
A month after he established his company, Kang Daniel officially debuted as a solo artist in July with the extended play titled "Color On Me." His debut was a success after the EP set records on Hanteo Chart for both the highest first-day and first-week sales for a solo artist in history.
Kang's first comeback in the K-pop scene was in November with the release of two tracks, "Touchin'" and Adulthood." In 2020, the idol also carried out solo activities, including the launching of his second EP, "Cyan" and his very first drama original soundtrack titled "Something" for SBS's romantic comedy "Backstreet Rookie."
In addition, Daniel filmed his travel reality show "Hello, Daniel" and accomplished his first artists' book "Never Standing Still - It's Time to Shine" in collaboration with MJ Kim, Paul McCartney's personal photographer.
Don't miss the official release of "State of Wonder" on Jan. 15 at 2 p.m. KST!
