Jeong Se Woon Matures as a Singer and Songwriter With "24 Part 2"

Jeong Se Woon is set to release his comeback album, "24 Part 2," and make it publicly available on Wednesday, January 6, at 6:00 PM KST.

In his new album, Se Woon returns as a singer-songwriter who is both familiar and unfamiliar, even to fans of his work. As the sequel to his first studio album "24 Part 1," released last July, "24 Part 2" contains a story, a personal and relatable narrative, that gives its listeners exclusive access to the artist's soul. According to his record label, Starship Entertainment, the songs in the new album illustrates how Jeong Se Woon has grown "more mature, with his unique warmth and vividity close to reality."

Not afraid to show his talents, Jeong Se Woon participated in his new album in a similar capacity as in the previous one: having credits in the composition, songwriting, and production of the songs, only serving to make the resulting tracks more sincere and heartfelt. "24 Part 2" promises to be one of those albums perfect for getting through those gloomy days.

"24 Part 2" is led by is the title track, "In The Dark," which shows Jeong Se Woon's familiarity with "being in the dark" and imparting the notion that there will always be a bright light at the end of the darkness. A hopeful message is conveyed in its verses, sharing stories of not giving up despite an apparently hopeless situation - wrapped in a melodious acoustic sound.

In the tracklist, "In The Dark" is preceded by the first single, ":m (Mind)," described as a great opening track with its welcoming rhythms. "Fine," the third song in the album, is also a promise of how everything will turn out in the end - continuing the lighthearted and uplifting message from the title track.

A slightly different song in "24 Part 2," yet a welcome addition to a soothing playlist, is the fourth song "DoDoDo." While others sound serious and ballad-like in their encouragement, "DoDoDo" is more upbeat, even inviting listeners to dance to the moonlight in its lyrics.

Since his solo debut in August 2017, with his EP "Ever," Jeong Se Woon has only matured further with his next releases. His first work as a solo singer-songwriter peaked at number two on the South Korean Gaon albums charts. "Ever" also contained original songs he wrote, "Miracle" and "Never Mind." He also earned success for its title track, "Just U," which featured the rapper Sik-K.

An online listening session, in celebration of Jeong Se Woon's 2021 comeback to the music industry, will be held on the same day as his album launch, at 8 PM KST through his Naver V Live channel.
