The most popular girl group song of 2020 is Red Velvet's "Psycho." Though it was released in Dec. 2019, it is still considered a 2020 release, since the song dropped at the end of the year. Upon the song's release, "Psycho" debuted at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart. It peaked at number three on the Gaon Monthly Digital Cart a month later. "Psycho" topped the Gaon Download chart for two weeks and peaked at number two on the Streaming Chart.

In the West, it debuted at number nine on the Billboard K-Pop Hot 100 chart and at the top of the World Digital Songs Chart, making it Red Velvet's second chart-topper. It is Red Velvet's first-ever entry on the UK Charts, debuting at number 99 on the Singles Downloads. It is also their second entry on the New Zealand Hot Singles chart at number 10.
The second most popular girl group song is Oh My Girl's "Nonstop." The song peaked at number two on the Gaon Digital Chart. It is the girl group's highest-charting release to date and even scored the group a Bonsang award at the "2020 Soribada Best K-Music Awards". At the Melon Music Awards, Oh My Girl was also named as one of their "Top 10" artists, which they scored with the help of "Nonstop."
The third most popular girl group song of 2020 is BLACKPINK's "How You Like That." Upon the song's release, the song debuted at number 12 on the Gaon Digital Chart but rose to number one the following week. It remained at the top of the charts for three weeks. The physical single album of "How You Like That" debuted at number two on the Gaon Album Chart and peaked at the top the next week. In Japan, it debuted at number 24 on the Oricon Combined Singles Chart and at number 17 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100. "How You Like That" peaked at number one in Malaysia and Singapore.

In the West, "How You Like That" debuted at number 33 on the Billboard Hot 100, making it tied as the highest-charting song by a female Korean act with "Sour Candy" a the time. "How You Like That" charted within the top twenty in Canada, Australia, Hungary, Estonia, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Scotland.
