ReVeluvs are rejoicing as they are happy to see Red Velvet Wendy on the small screen once again after a long time since her stage accident.
Last December, it was announced that JTBC will be launching a new music talk show called "Mysterious Record Shop" in partnership with SM C&C Studio, which is the biggest producer of OTT experience in Korea. The program will be hosted by four musicians from various genres, including singer-songwriter Yoon Jong Shin, trot singer Jang Yoon Jung, as well as idol vocalists Red Velvet Wendy and Super Junior's Kyuhyun.
"Mysterious Record Shop" will focus on the life stories and released songs of the guests. Hosts and guests will touch on their lives and careers and discuss how songs have influenced their lives. The music talk show is said to give a fusion of emotion, laughter, and fun to entertain viewers. It will premiere on Jan. 22 at 9 p.m. KST.
JTBC's upcoming program marks Red Velvet Wendy's return to the small screen and her first project this 2021. She previously appeared in SM Entertainment's SMTOWN LIVE 'Culture Humanity," which was held on the first day of this year, when she performed along with her fellow members for the first time after a year.

On Wednesday, Jan. 13, JTBC has released the first teaser for "Mysterious Record Shop," featuring Red Velvet Wendy and the other three MCs. The video is about a minute and shows Wendy moving from one place to another as she introduces her co-hosts. Toward the end of the video, the four MCs invite guests from different professions to share their personal stories about music with them on the show.
Upon seeing the teaser, Red Velvet fans also called ReVeluvs took to Twitter to express their joy for seeing Wendy back in the entertainment industry after more than a year since December 25, 2019. Fans are trending the hashtag "MC Wendy" on Twitter to show their support for the idol's first hosting project this year.
Along with the hashtag, fans uploaded pictures of the idol and cuts from the first teaser of "Mysterious Record Shop." ReVeluvs also expressed their excitement to see Red Velvet Wendy on a new television show once again.

Red Velvet Wendy has been on hiatus since December 2019 when she fell from the stage while the girl group was having rehearsals for their performance at 2019 SBS Gayo Daejon. SM Entertainment announced that the singer sustained facial injuries and fractures in her wrist and pelvis. Since then, Red Velvet promoted as a four-piece band.
In April 2020, SM shared that the artist has recovered significantly. Red Velvet Wendy herself also updated fans about her current condition via her personal Instagram account and said that she is doing much better. Although she was on a break, she partially participated in singing the cover of BoA's "Milky Way" for a project celebrating BoA's 20th debut anniversary. Wendy also lent her voice to one of the OSTs for tvN's "Start-Up," titled "Two Letters."
