GOT7 is now celebrating their seventh anniversary of debut with their beloved fans, which they call Ahgase or IGOT7.
JYP Entertainment's widely famous GOT7, which consists of members JB, Jinyoung, Mark, Youngjae, Jackson, BamBam, and Yugyeom, made their debut on Jan. 16, 2014. That is when the boy group released their first extended play titled "Got It?" that contains the single "Girls Girls Girls," which immediately became a hit. Since then, GOT7 has been one of the top boy bands in K-pop as they continuously achieved success.
In celebration of their 7th debut anniversary, GOT7 uploaded a heartwarming special video that takes fans through all their wonderful memories in the past seven years. Playing in the background of the video is GOT7's "Playground."
The video started with scenes of the boy group introducing themselves with their popular greeting, "Come and get it! GOT7! Hello, we are GOT7."
The special video then transitioned to the "Girls Girls Girls" era, showing GOT7 members at a very young age, and was followed by the time they launched their songs "A" and their hit song "Just Right," which K-pop fans not only IGOT7 consider as legendary.
The clip also presented the boy group's fan meetings, birthdays, concerts (especially their latest world tour "Keep Spinning"), and many more. The video then ended with the phrases, "Thank You, IGOT7" and "GOT7 FOREVER."
Besides this video, many of the members took to their social media accounts to post a message together with the same photo to celebrate this special day. On Instagram, GOT7's leader JB posted "Seventh anniversary. #GOT7FOREVER." And on his Instagram story, he shared a screenshot of their 2018 track, "Thank You" claiming the No. 1 position on the real-time chart of Genie. There, he wrote, "Thank you, IGOT7."
GOT7's Mark also made a post on Instagram with the caption, "In it for the long ride," and on Twitter, "Thank you guys for 7 years. Many more to come. #7YearsWithIGOT7." In a separate post, the idol wrote, "Seven years ago, I debuted and met our Ahgase. Thank you for staying with me for a long time. We have had so many moments of happiness, sadness, and anger, but I think they'll all remain as good memories. Let's continue to make more memories with the seven of us! Thank you, Ahgase."
GOT7's Jackson uploaded the photo on Instagram and wrote in the caption, "7 years. Always blessed for everything," while Jinyoung said, "7 years. Always thank u, love u. #igot7."
Jackson also wrote on Twitter, "It has already been seven years. It's almost a decade since I came to Korea. Thank you all sincerely for having watched over me as I grew. I always say this, but I will keep on working harder so that I can completely show you better sides of myself and how I'm improving." He also thanked IGOT7 for their love and promised to be an artist they can be proud of.
GOT7 Youngjae posted a group picture with a caption, "GOT7FOREVER" and shared a screenshot of "Thank You" at No. 1 on the chart and wrote, "We're the ones who are more thankful. 2014.01.16." Meanwhile, GOT7 BamBam wrote in the caption of his post, "7YEARS. GOT7 [heart] IGOT7. Our story will never end." He also tweeted, "#IGOT7FOREVER. 7 years."
