GOT7 Jackson Reportedly in Discussion with Sublime Artist Agency + Label Comments

GOT7 Jackson and Youngjae might join the same agency following their departure from JYP Entertainment.

On Jan. 11, JYP Entertainment confirmed that all GOT7 members will not renew their exclusive contracts with them, which means the boy band will be leaving the record label following their contract expiration, which has now taken place on Jan. 19.

According to an exclusive report from Newsen on Jan. 20, the Chinese member of GOT7, Jackson, is currently in discussion with Sublime Artist Agency. Earlier this month, TEAM WANG confirmed that they will also be managing the male idol's activities.

Considering the two record labels, people's interests are focused on GOT7 Jackson probably being active both in Korea and China. Well, in previous reports of Dispatch, it is said that the rapper plans to promote in both countries. In response to the report, Sublime Artist Agency confirmed that they are currently talking about a potential exclusive contract with the male idol.

On Jan. 10, the entertainment company also shared that they were discussing with GOT7 Youngjae about a possible contract. This only means that two GOT7 members would make the label their new home where they will start their new chapters in life.

Sublime Artist Agency is a comprehensive entertainment label that works in artist management, album planning and production, and advertisement. It currently is home to Rain, Song Kang Ho, EXID's Hani, T-ara's Hyomin, former PRISTIN member Lim Nayoung, and more.

Meanwhile, according to previous reports, GOT7 Jinyoung is in talks with BH Entertainment to focus on his acting career, Yugyeom with AOMG founded by rapper Jay Park, and BamBam with MakeUs Entertainment. However, none of these companies have confirmed that they have met the artists to discuss their exclusive contracts.

On the contrary, GOT7 JB is said to have received many offers from various hip hop companies, but he still has not chosen one. As for Mark, he will be returning to the United States, provide content for his YouTube channel, and later on prepare for his solo music.

Jackson Wang made his debut as GOT7's main rapper on Jan. 16, 2014 under JYP Entertainment. He auditioned for the company in 2010 after a JYP talent agency spotted him while playing basketball at his school. He then moved to Seoul in 2011 from Hong Kong to start his training to become an idol. Wang appeared on the reality survival show "Win: Who Is Next?" together with fellow trainees, Mark, BamBam, and Yugyeom, who later become his fellow GOT7 members.

Besides promoting in South Korea as a GOT7 member, he also made his debut in China as a solo artist with his first album titled "Mirrors." His solo activities in China are being managed by Team Wang, which Jackson established. Wang also founded Snake or the Rabbit, which is a distribution agency based in the United States.

Recently, Jackson Wang launched his fashion brand Team Wang Design with the first "The Original" collection. The items are available on an online store as well as in a pop-up store and concept space in Shanghai. The products can also be purchased in selected shops in the United States and Canada.
