On Jan. 21, the official listing from "Idol Chart" called, "Acha Ranking" announced 20 K-pop singers that received positive responses from K-pop enthusiasts in the second week of January, starting from Jan.11 to Jan. 17.
In the ranking, prominent K-pop stars including BTS, BLACKPINK, (G)I-DLE, BLACKPINK, TWICE, IU, etc. entered the ranking.
BTS, (G)I-DLE, and BLACKPINK: Best 3 in the "Acha Ranking"
The global group BTS is consistently securing their crown as they ranked first again, topping the chart for 10 consecutive weeks. Their total points are 7,394 points, including 1,146 for music scores, 4,304 for YouTube scores, and 1934 for social media scores.
In particular, BTS digital English track "Dynamite" continues to reign on numerous charts, especially dominating the U.S. Billboard's "Hot 100" chart for six months already, not to mention that it recently grabbed the No.2 spot on the Billboard Global (excluding the United States) chart and third on the Billboard Global 200 chart, as well.
Following BTS, (G)I-DLE's most-awaited comeback is surely gaining massive interest from music fans, as they ranked in second place with a total score of 7,189 points. (G)I-DLE not only dominated the charts with their mini-album "I Burn" and title track "Hwa" but also gave them the true value of their own-producing girl group.
In fact, the group already won two music shows awards following the release of their new song 'Hwa'. On Jan. 21, the female idols took home their "M Countdown" trophy, while earlier,
(G)I-DLE both collected their trophies from Mnet's "M Countdown," and MBC M "Show! Champion," proving the love and support of fans to their new release. Additionally, (G)I-DLE also topped iTunes album charts in 52 regions around the world with their fourth mini-album "I Burn," while their title track continues to hit numerous local and international charts, such as the U.S. Billboard "World Digital Song Sales" chart.
Meanwhile, BLACKPINK sat on the third spot with 5,659 points. Currently, the four-member group is making headlines for their individual activities, such as Jennie who created a new record after opening her personal YouTube account. The idol now holds the title for "The fastest YouTube channel to reach 1 million subscribers," within less than 7 hours.
Meanwhile, Rosé and Lisa are reportedly preparing for their solo debut, as for Jisoo, she recently had a pictorial for "W Korea," in collaboration with Dior for its February issue wherein she's announced to be the cover girl.
