On Wednesday, Feb. 10, it was announced that Big Hit Entertainment, YG Entertainment, Universal Music Group, and Kiswe had all partnered together to launch a new live-streaming platform. Keep on reading to learn more.
Partnership with Big Hit, YG, Universal, and Kiswe
On Feb. 10, Big Hit Entertainment announced that they had joined hands with Kiswe in a venture called KBYK. YG Entertainment and Universal Music Group were revealed to have also invested in the project to launch a live-streaming platform called VenewLive.
VenewLive is the first project to launch under KBYK Live. The plan to make it a platform where global musician and artists can live-stream their content.
Big Hit Entertainment and Kiswe have been working together since 2020. The South Korean entertainment company signed a memorandum of understanding with Kiswe back in May, and they embarked on their joint venture in September. The two companies have been working tightly together to establish VenewLive.
With YG Entertainment and Universal Music Group's help, VenewLive is expected to house numerous high-profile artists from around the globe, including the artists under YG Entertainment, the Big Hit Labels. VenewLive is also expected to expand its content by constantly advancing its technology and soon accepting multi-view streaming.
Official Representative's Statements
John Lee, VenewLive's CEO, has released a short statement concerning the pros of VenewLive. He noted that they have already live-streamed several performances last year for big-name artists and have provided fans with a unique and immersive experience thanks to their cutting-edge technology, such as 6-angle multi-view and 4K streaming. He notes that their technology will allow fans to feel as if they are closer to their favorite artists and will also help the artist show off their energy despite being on a digital stage.
YG Entertainment's Chief Operation Officer (COO), Choi Sung Jun, also expressed excitement over their partnership with VenewLive. He noted that many of the artists under YG Entertainment are now global artists. He is excited that they can secure a high-quality live-streaming platform with leading technology. He ensures fans that they will do their part to help provide interactive experiences and services for their global fans.
Universal Music Group's executive vice president, Boyd Muir, shared the same sentiment and expressed excitement to work with Big Hit Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and Kiswe.

Yook Seok Jun, Big Hit Entertainment's global CEO, expressed his thoughts on VenewLive's technology and their goal to ensure that the fans will get the best experiences from their artist's content. He notes that Big Hit Entertainment's attempt to maximize the fan experience is not just limited to entertainment but that they are also trying out new technologies with VenewLive. They want to provide fans with the most advanced technology available and help introduce these technologies to different fields, showing others the positive impact this has on the fan experience.
Previously, VenewLive hosted concerts for all the Big Hit Label's artists, specifically ENHYPEN, GFRIEND, SEVENTEEN, NU'EST, and BTS. They also hosted the Big Hit Labels' "2021 New Year's Eve Live" concert. Outside of K-pop, VenewLive hosted Justin Bieber's New Year's concert, as well as AJR's Christmas concert.
