On Saturday, Feb. 13, The Korean Business Research Institute released their individual male idol brand reputation rankings for the month of February. Keep on reading to see who the most popular male idols for the month are!
The Korean Business Research Institute crafted the brand reputation index by extracting and analyzing 117,162,545 pieces of big data spanning 653 idols from Jan. 13 to Feb. 13. They noted an individual idol's participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the available 125,767,133 pieces of big data in Jan. 2021, this month saw a decrease of 4.86%.
The brand reputation ranking is an index that helps analyze the online habits of consumers and what impacts brand consumption. Though researching individual male idol's personal brand reputations, we can see the positive and negative influence an idol has on a brand, media and consumer interest, and their communication volume.
The Top 5 Most Popular Male Idols for the Month - BTS Dominates The TOP 5
Sitting at number one is BTS member Jimin with a brand reputation index of 7,051,880. Jimin has a participation index of 760,678, a media index of 1,056,425, a communication index of 2,289,078, and a community index of 2,954,699. Compared to his brand reputation index of 6,733,150 in Jan., his index rose by 4.73%.
ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo takes home second place with a brand reputation index of 6,785,560. Cha Eun Woo has a participation index of 3,212,768, a media index of 1,241,825, a communication index of 1,102,710, and a community index of 1,228,256. Compared to his brand reputation index of 6,303,509 in Jan., his index rose by 7.65%.
Third place goes to BTS member V with a brand reputation index of 5,334,558. V has a participation index of 524,007, a media index of 1,188,732, a communication index of 1,691,525, and a community index of 1,928,293. Compared to his brand reputation index of 6,305,855 in Jan., his index fell by 15.43%.
BTS's golden maknae Jungkook takes home fourth place with a brand reputation index of 4,994,727. Jungkook has a participation index of 397,579, a media index of 885,722, a communication index of 1,779,584, and a community index of 1,931,842. Compared to his brand reputation index of 6,278,503 in Jan., his index fell by 20.45%.
Fifth place goes to BTS member Jin with a brand reputation index of 4,721,685. Jin has a participation index of 400,159, a media index of 919,000, a communication index of 1,589,482, and a community index of 1,813,044. Compared to his brand reputation index of 4,769,595 in Jan., his index fell by 1.00%.
