BTS Jungkook Wins Title at Planeta Awards 2020 + 'Still With You' Tops Genius Korea's K-R&B Chart

In the past years, Jungkook has made himself well known around the world not only as a BTS member but also as an individual artist with so much talent. And so because of his wide popularity, he recently earned a title at Planeta Awards 2020, plus his solo track "Still With You" continues to enter charts including Genuis Korea's K-R&B Chart.

BTS Jungkook Earns Recognition at Planeta Awards 2020

On Feb. 14, Radio Planeta 107 FM, a Peru-based radio station, announced the winner for the "You Are My Crush" category for its Planeta Awards 2020, and it is none other than BTS Jungkook.

In the first round, the male idol won against American pop star Selena Gomez. Then, in the second round, the "Euphoria" singer competed against Harry Styles, one of the members of the popular British boy band One Direction, and once again he won took first place.

In the final round, BTS Jungkook faced off against another One Direction member, Louis Tomlinson, and he eventually claimed the top position, earning the "You Are My Crush" award. Jungkook was the only member of the world-famous BTS to be nominated in the said category and is one of the two K-pop idols, with the other one being BLACKPINK Lisa.

The "Still With You" singer has proven his solid global popularity and influence by winning against some of the world's most prominent artists. In addition, his group BTS also won at Planeta Awards 2020, particularly in two categories. Big Hit Entertainment's boy band won the titles "Best K-pop Group" and "Best Pop Song of the Year" with their 2020 hit "Dynamite."

BTS Jungkook's "Still With You" Grabs No. 1 Spot on Genius Korea's K-R&B Chart

Besides the new title BTS Jungkook received, his solo track "Still With You" saw consistent support from fans all over the world as the song recently placed first in Genius Korea's K-R&B chart. On Feb. 12, Genius Korea took to its Twitter account to announce that the solo song hit No. 1 on the said rankings for the first time. It was followed by Golden's "Hate Everything," eaJ & keshi's "pillows," gani's "Puppy Love," and EXO Kai's "Mmmh."

BTS Jungkook co-wrote and co-composed "Still With You" together with Pdogg. It was released in June 2020 via the global music sharing platform, SoundCloud, as part of "2020 BTS Festa" in celebration of their debut anniversary. Its URL on the platform reads "thankyouarmy2020." Moreover, the solo track expresses the love and longing for BTS fans, who are also called ARMYs.

Furthermore, BTS Jungkook's "Still With You" gained popularity in the United Kingdom as the song gets played in the country's radio station Atlantic Extra. Previously, the single was revealed to be played in numerous radio stations in different countries such as the Philippines, Indonesia, Paraguay, Uruguay, and Jakarta.

In other news, international musical actress Lea Salonga recently recommended BTS Jungkook's covers and solo tracks as other BTS songs people should listen to. SoundCloud, which saw this on Twitter, commented, "Jungkook is loved everywhere!"
