Oscar Pistorius’ girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp had no plans to spend the night with the runner last Valentine’s Day.

The blond supermodel originally intended to return to the home of her best friend’s father, Cecil Myers, reports the New York Post.

Myers told South Africa’s City Press newspaper that Steenkamp texted, “ ‘Hi guys, I’m too tired. It’s too far to drive. I’m sleeping at Oscar’s tonight. See you tomorrow,’ ”

Later that evening, Oscar Pistorius gunned down Steenkamp as she cowered in the bathroom, according to prosecutors.

The Olympian dubbed as “Blade Runner” maintained that he mistook her for a burglar.

Last Friday Sky News leaked images of the bloody bathroom where Pistorius shot his girlfriend.

It is the first time the public has seen the actual room where the athlete’s model girlfriend was shot to her death.

The dramatic images shows a panel missing from the toilet door – and two police markers below the handle which is evidence of the bullet holes.

The Sky News photos appear consistent with Pistorius’ version of events.

The sprinter described the events of how he fired the shots in a court affidavit:

The Olympic runner told police that he got up in the middle of the night to bring in a fan from the balcony and claims he heard a noise in the pitch dark.

He said he picked up a gun he kept for security purposes and hobbled without his prosthetic legs to the bathroom, and fired repeatedly at the door.

It was only when he returned to his bedroom and realized Reeva was not there that he felt there had been a terrible accident.

Pistorius said, he then picked up a cricket bar, battered down the bathroom door and carried Reeva’s bloodied body downstairs.

According to prosecutors, the 29-year-old fashion model was fatally shot after what is described as a loud argument between her and the runner.

The New York Post previously reported that the last images seen of Steenkamp were of her entering the runner’s gated complex before she was killed.

She was seen smiling as she drives her Mini Cooper toward the home of the double-amputee Olympian who is seen as a hero in South Africa.
