BTS continues to take the top spots in various music streaming sites and charts. The current successes that Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM and Suga have been achieving in recent years are enough proof that they are, indeed, the biggest boyband group in the world today.
BTS's 'IDOL' Music Video Garners More Than 850 Million Views on YouTube
On Monday, Feb. 15, the official music video of "IDOL" reached another milestone as it reached more than 850 million views on YouTube, making it the sixth music video of BTS to reach the milestone, following "Dynamite," "MIC Drop," "Fake Love," "Boy with Luv," and "DNA."
Most, if not all, fans can recall that Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM and Suga dropped the "IDOL" music video on Aug. 24, 2018. In other words, it took the track over two years, five months and 21 days to break the 850 million views mark.
Aside from that, the official music video of "IDOL" also garnered more than 15 million likes and more than 2.5 million comments. It is said that BTS is the first and only group, among other South Korean boybands, who has six tracks to surpass the 850 million views mark on YouTube.

The news about "IDOL" breaking the 850 million views mark came just a few days after it was announced that the official music video of "DNA" has hit 1.2 billion views on YouTube already. The said song is the carrier single of the boyband's mini album titled "Love Yourself: Her."
The "DNA" MV was dropped on Sept. 18, 2017, which means that it took three years, four months and 23 days for it to break another record for BTS. As of press time, the music video got more than 18 million likes and more than 6.3 million comments already.
BTS's "Dynamite" and "Life Goes On" Continue Topping on Spotify and Apple Music
Aside from "IDOL" and "DNA," other tracks of BTS that continue to make waves in other platforms are "Dynamite" and "Life Goes On." As of Monday, Feb. 15, "Dynamite" has reentered the Apple Music Global Top 100 as it was listed at No. 9 on its 178th day in the tally.
On Spotify, "Dynamite" garnered more than 2.2 million global streams already while "Life Goes On" has amassed more than 950,000 streams as of this writing. In the United States alone, "Dynamite" by BTS was played 283,084 times.
The official music video of "Dynamite" also reached the 850 million views mark on Sunday, Feb. 14. The video also got 24 million likes and more than 11.7 million comments as of late. As for "Life Goes On," it already reached the 266 million views mark with more than 13 million likes and 4.9 million comments.
The streak of BTS tracks on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music and other platforms are expected to continue in the coming weeks - or even months - as Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, RM and Suga are about to release the "BE" Essential Edition" album. So, ARMYs should stay tuned.
