Upcoming K-pop Boy Group MIRAE to Star in Their Own Variety Show 'WE ARE FUTURE' ahead of Debut

DPS Media's new K-pop boy group, MIRAE, will release various content through their own variety show called "WE ARE FUTURE" prior to their debut.

In mid-January, a source from DSP Media revealed that the entertainment agency is planning to debut a seven-member boy band, including former X1 member Son Dong Pyo. And at the end of the month, the company shared the links of the official social media accounts of MIRAE, which was presumed to be the name of the upcoming K-pop boy group. The septet's logo was also revealed at that time.

The official from DSP Media also shared at that period that they were filming a reality program starring the seven members of MIRAE. And on Tuesday, Feb. 16, further details about the variety show of the upcoming idol group have been released.

MIRAE Members to Star in Their Own Variety Show

The variety show of DPS Media's new idol boy group will be called "WE ARE FUTURE," which conveys the septet's wish to move toward the future and present a new future for K-pop and reach it together. The program will present the members' journey toward their debut. It will be broadcast via MIRAE's official YouTube and V Live channels, with its episodes set for release every Tuesday and Friday at the said time.

Its first episode will air on Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. KST. The program's first episode is said to display the fresh charm of each member. In addition to self-introduction, the idols will also show off their individual skills and do "aegyo" (adorable expression or gesture) battles. Moreover, the new K-pop boy group will play Tikitaka, a Spanish style of playing football.

In the variety show, the artists will perform different missions for each episode and acquire objects, which will be used in the music video for their debut song. The daily life of MIRAE members will also be shown, particularly what they do in the practice room and their respective homes. Through this, fans will be able to know more about the idols ahead of their debut, which is aimed to be in March.

Who are the members of DSP Media's MIRAE?

Meanwhile, DSP Media has previously revealed the members of its new idol boy group through teaser images and profile films.

Early this February, the company introduced the band's first member, Park Si Young, who is the second youngest, being born on May 6, 2003. The next member that was unveiled is Lee Jun Hyuk, who was followed by Lien (the oldest member), Son Dong Pyo, Jang Yubin (the youngest member), Khael, and Yoo Dou Hyun.

Besides the individual clips of MIRAE members, a profile film in which the septet showcased its dancing skills was also shared via its official YouTube channel. MIRAE is DSP Media's first boy group and first act overall in about four years since KARD's debut in July 2017. Also, it is the agency's third active idol group, with the other two being APRIL and KARD.
