Following the praise TOO member Woong Gi received for promoting social distancing to his college peers, the idol is now facing school bullying allegations. Keep on reading to see the agency's statement on the matter.

The Accusations against TOO Woong Gi

On Tuesday, Feb. 16, an anonymous user shared a post titled "I am a victim of TOO Cha Woong Gi's school violence" to an online community forum. The user shared that they hate seeing Woong Gi being put up on a pedestal and asks the idol, "Does it not bother your conscience? Did you not ruin other people's lives? Did you think the past would be forgotten if you became an idol?"

The user goes on to reveal that Woong Gi and his friends would verbally abuse their peers and bullied them, saying insults about their family and even bringing the bullying online. Another user spoke up and revealed they wrote a report to the school's mentor department so that the school violence committee could look into the bullying, but the request was denied.

Stone Music Entertainment's Statement

Following the accusations, Stone Music Entertainment released a statement, claiming that all of the things mentioned were groundless. They spoke with Woong Gi, school representatives, and even the people in the post who claimed to have been bullied, and it was revealed Woong Gi had never partaken in school violence.

Their whole statement reads:

"Hello. This is TOO Cha Woong Gi's agency, Stone Music Entertainment.

Regarding the online post circulating concerning Cha Woong Gi, we have checked the facts with the artist, his school's representative, and the people in the post who claim to have been the victims of bullying.

What we discovered is that while it is true that Cha Woong Gi was not on good terms with these people during his school days, all claims of him partaking in violence to bully specific people are completely fabricated.

If groundless malicious comments or false information continues to spread concerning our artists, we will take firm legal action. We will continue to do our best to protect our artists.

Thank you."

TOO Woong Gi Earns Praise for Promoting Social Distancing

Just a day before, on Feb. 15, Woong Gi earned praise from the media after screenshots of him promoting social media to his college peers were shared online. An anonymous user shared screenshots of a group chat conversation. In the chat, Woong Gi revealed that he disagreed with a 20-person drinking party and that he thought many words and actions crossed the line.

The user originally intended to use the post to cause harm to Woong Gi, with people mocking him in the group chat. Some even called him names. However, the TOO member remained calm and said, "I said everything I wanted to say. It is not like we are asked not to gather with more than five people for no reason. That is why it is kind of weird to ask people to come and drink at a party." Woong Gi left the group chat after that.

The screenshots were shared in hopes of ridiculing Woong Gi, but people instead praised him for promoting social distancing. People lauded his mature response and called out the user who shared the post for being in the wrong.
