f(x) Luna Announces She Has Established an Entertainment Agency
On Feb. 23, an interview featuring the female idol was uploaded to the CATCHUP YouTube channel. The "Electric Shock" singer sat down with KBS reporter Jung Ji Eun and talked about her long journey in the entertainment industry, particularly in the musical theater as she is now celebrating her 10th anniversary of debut as a musical actress.
f(x) Luna was asked what she feels about the 10th anniversary of her musical debut. The singer answered, "First when I was very young, I didn't know anything. I started because I liked music, dance, and singing. I can't believe it's already been 10 years. I think I gained a lot of trusts, so I want to be an actor who can deliver faith to the public and the audience based on that trust."

It is also in this interview that a few great news were announced. The KBS reporter shared that f(x) Luna has numerous achievements to celebrate this year, and ended up revealing that the female idol has launched her very own entertainment agency, called Grida Entertainment.
Jung Ji Eun further unveiled that the singer is the representative director of her label. With a big smile, the f(x) member confirmed that she does, indeed, hold that position.
f(x) Luna Hints at a New Start of Her Career
It has been more than 10 years since she stepped into the entertainment industry of South Korea where she became well-known as a member of SM Entertainment's girl group f(x). Luna debuted in 2009 and following the expiration of her exclusive contract with SME in 2019, she signed with Humap Contents to continue her solo activities.

While still listed as an artist on Humap Contents' website, the company has unfollowed the social media accounts of the musical theater actress. And on her personal Instagram account, f(x) Luna has uploaded a new logo showing her stage name, "Luna," which seems to signify that the singer will be having a fresh start.
Luna's Debut as an f(x) Member, Solo Artist, and Musical Theater Actress
In 2006, Park Sunyoung, prominently known as Luna, was recruited by SM Entertainment after seeing her perform on SBS's "Truth Game." After years of training, she debuted as the main vocalist and lead dancer of the K-pop girl group f(x) in September 2009.
In 2011, she made her musical debut in the musical Legally Blonde as Elle Woods. And in the following year, she took on the role of Gabriella Montez for the Koran version of "High School Musical on Stage!"

In May 2016, f(x) Luna debuted as a solo artist with the release of her first mini-album, "Free Somebody," which contains six songs. In 2019, she decided not to renew her contract with SM Entertainment, and instead joined Humap Contents. Despite leaving SME, Luna is still part of f(x), which has been inactive in K-pop for more than four years as members have gone their separate ways.
While the members are not under SME anymore, it was not officially announced whether the girl group has disbanded.
