SEVENTEEN Postpones Variety Show 'GOING SEVENTEEN'

SEVENTEEN has postponed the release of the new season of their weekly variety show, GOING SEVENTEEN, at a later date.

About SEVENTEEN's Own Variety Show "GOING SEVENTEEN"

SEVENTEEN kicked off their original web variety show "GOING SEVENTEEN" in 2017, titled "GOING SEVENTEEN 2017." The program is about the boy group carrying out activities, challenges, and everything the members have always wanted to do. Last year was already the fourth season of the program and it consisted of a total of 47 episodes, with the last episode broadcasted on Jan. 18.

"GOING SEVENTEEN 2020" was derived from ideas pitched by the SEVENTEEN members, and the one who raised the idea will be the host for that certain episode. Last year's season of the variety show garnered 100 million views with all episodes combined. And now, the idol group is about to start a new season of the program early this March, however, some changes will be made, particularly for the release date of the episodes.

Pledis Entertainment Announces that SEVENTEEN's Variety Show Will be Postponed

On March 3, Pledis Entertainment posted a statement on SEVENTEEN's official SNS accounts regarding the release date for the new episodes of the boy group's variety show "GOING SEVENTEEN." The first episode of the program was originally set to air on March 3 at 9 p.m. KST. However, the company said that the dates will be changed and they will provide a new schedule on a separate notice.

Pledis Entertainment then apologized to CARATs (SEVENTEEN's fan club) who have been patiently waiting for the new content of the band. They also asked for fans' understanding. An official reason as to why they postponed SEVENTEEN's variety show was not mentioned, but this announcement follows member Mingyu's bullying controversy and sexual assault accusation, both of which are currently being investigated. Additionally, the male idol has already suspended his activities.
