Attention, EXO-Ls! EXO might be having a comeback soon with a new album for their 10th debut anniversary!
EXO Reportedly Preparing a New Album for their 10th Debut Anniversary
According to an exclusive report released by Star News on March 4, SM Entertainment's nine-member boy group is gearing up for their long-awaited comeback as a full group. The topic was brought up when EXO Chanyeol has been confirmed to attend an online press conference for the premiere of his new movie, "The Box," on March 18.
The EXO member is also said to be releasing an OST album for the said musical film, set for launch on March 31. The album will comprise the songs that Chanyeol sang in the movie as an aspiring singer named Ji Hoon, including his cover of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy," which was revealed recently.
"The Box" will mark EXO Chanyeol's first time starring in a Korean movie. It is a jukebox musical film that tells a story of a musician and a washed-up producer who was initially successful in the industry. Together, they set out on a musical journey. Yang Jung Woong is responsible for directing the movie.
Since EXO's rapper is about to enlist in the military on March 29, the promotion of "The Box" is expected to be the last activity of the idol before he starts his military service.
But apart from his upcoming film, Chanyeol is also said to be participating in the preparation for EXO's 10th debut anniversary album.

In addition, it is said that the EXO members are working hard to prepare the album so that it will be released on time to celebrate their 10th anniversary of debut on April 8. The filming of the music video for EXO's new song will also take place soon, according to the report.
Technically, EXO's 10th debut anniversary falls on April 8, 2022, since the boy group debuted on the same day back in 2012. The band might probably be taking this chance to release an album as a full group in advance since member Chanyeol will be inactive in the entertainment industry starting from March 29 because of his military service. However, there has been no confirmation and clarification from SM Entertainment as of writing.

If the news will later be confirmed by EXO's management agency, the album will be the boy group's first release as a full group after more than two years since the repackaged album, "Love Shot," which was issued on Dec. 13, 2018. This will also mark Xiumin and D.O's first work since their military discharge.
D.O Reportedly to Work on EXO's New Album
In mid-February, EXO-Ls (EXO's fan club) trended a few hashtags such as "EXO COMEBACK" and "EXO NEW ALBUM" after Star News released a report mentioning EXO D.O's schedule this year. The Korean media outlet stated that the male idol will be busy in the second half of the year preparing for EXO's new album.
While fans initially understood it as D.O's solo album or perhaps a typographical error in the report, they are still hoping for a potential comeback from the boy group.
