BTS Now Has the Most Music Show Wins with Hit Song "Dynamite"

From its very first music show win, BTS's "Dynamite" didn't fail to make and break records. On Aug. 29, the track achieved its first win on MBC's "Music Core," becoming the first English-language single to take first place on a Korean music show.

In November last year, the song earned its 22nd music show win, beating their personal record with "Boy with Luv" for having the most victories of the 21st century. As of Feb. 26, BTS has recorded three wins on both SBS's "Inkigayo" and MBC's "Show Champion," 10 wins on MBC's "Music Core," and 15 wins on KBS's "Music Bank" for a total of 31 trophies overall.

But then recently, BTS has officially beat the record by scoring its 32nd win for the single "Dynamite" on KBS's "Music Bank."

This latest win of the boy band means that V, Jungjook, Suga, RM, Jin, Jimin, and J-Hope have broken the record for attaining the most wins on a Korean music show. The previous holder for this achievement is Shin Seung Hun, known as the "Emperor of Ballads" in Korea. From 1991 to 1992, the male singer made history as his much-loved track "Invisible" obtained 31 music show wins.

This accomplishment with "Dynamite" is yet another record to add to the list of huge milestones of BTS. The list includes the record for most views on YouTube in 24 hours and the fastest music video by a Korean artist to reach 700 million views. With another music show win, Big Hit's boy band now has a total of 131 music show wins. BTS is now more than 10 wins away from the other K-pop groups.
