BLACKPINK Rosé Further Excites Fans about Her Solo Debut with 'On the Ground' MV Teaser

BLACKPINK Rosé continues the countdown for her upcoming solo debut with a music video teaser for her solo track "On the Ground."

BLACKPINK Rosé Drops "On the Ground" MV Teaser

On March 8 at midnight KST, YG Entertainment has unveiled the MV teaser for the BLACKPINK member's solo debut song "On the Ground." The 15-second clip shows Rosé sporting an elegant lavender dress and wearing fine jewelry while sitting in the back of a limousine. She then removes her fur coat, as well as her accessories, and puts on a casual black jacket instead, and gets cozy.

What caught the viewers' attention more is the fact that she seems to be in deep thoughts while she looks outside the car windows. The song's melody can also be heard playing in the background, with BLACKPINK Rosé mentioning the phrase "on the ground" towards the end of the MV teaser.

With this music video teaser, the "BOOMBAYAH" singer made BLINKs (BLACKPINK's fan club) more excited about her upcoming solo debut, which will take place on March 12 - only four days away from now.

"On the Ground" is the title track of BLACKPINK Rosé's upcoming solo debut album.

As of writing, the "On the Ground" MV teaser has already reached 4.3 million views, just less than 12 hours after it was uploaded. It is also currently trending at No. 1 on YouTube's "Music Videos Trending Worldwide" rankings.

BLACKPINK Shares Teaser Images for March Solo Debut

In the past few days, BLACKPINK Rosé has released teaser images for her highly-anticipated solo debut. The official countdown started on March 2 with two teaser posters, and continued on March 4 with a new teaser photo that reveals the title of the singer's solo debut album - it will be titled "-R-."

BLACKPINK Rosé has also previously dropped a "D-5" teaser that shows three Polaroid photos.

The "Lovesick Girls" singer previously premiered one of the songs from her upcoming solo album - an English-language track, titled "GONE" - at BLACKPINK's "THE SHOW" online concert on Jan. 31 this year. BLACKPINK Rosé will be making her official solo debut on March 12 at 2 p.m. KST.

Rosé to Become Second BLACKPINK Member to Make Her Solo Debut

After more than two years since Jennie's debut as a solo artist on Nov. 12, 2018 with the single "SOLO," Rosé will officially make her solo debut this year, becoming the second BLACKPINK member to do so. It was previously said that she directly took part in the creative process of her music.

Fans have been anticipating this moment since June last year after YG Entertainment announced that she would be debuting as a solo artist in September following the release of the group's first full-length album, "THE ALBUM." However, BLACKPINK's studio album was dropped in October 2020, and so many concluded that BLACKPINK Rosé might not be making her solo debut last year.

Fans then discovered in the group's Netflix documentary, that the "Ice Cream" singer is a perfectionist who doesn't' want to release music that doesn't meet her standards.
