At the Disneyland explosion earlier this week, the employee who was arrested for setting off a dry ice "bomb" at the theme park will be facing six years in prison. The arrested employee has pleaded not guilty to the charges.

After the Disneyland explosion, Disneyland employee Christian Barnes, who is 22 years old, has been held on bail after being arrested under suspicion that he has set off the dry ice explosions.

Christian Barnes, who is from Long Beach, made a not-guilty plea in court on Thursday after he was charged with the felony of possessing a destructive device in public.

According to the prosecutors of the case, Barnes, while working as an outdoor vendor at Disneyland, threw two water bottles that contained dry ice into trash cans in Mickey's Toontown.

Disneyland employee Christian Barnes allegedly took the water bottles from his vending cart. The frozen water bottles exploded in the trash cans, causing a scare among visitors of Disneyland.

Barnes was arrested on the scene for the explosions, although the motive or intent of Barnes placing the dry ice bombs is still unknown.

Barnes bail has since been lowered from $1 million to half a million. The arrested Disneyland employee will be attending a pre-trial hearing this Friday, June 7.

No serious injuries have been reported from the Disneyland explosions. However, several visitors who passed by Toontown while the explosions occurred reported that they suffered ringing in their ears.

Barnes' family members supported the Disneyland employee's not-guilty plea, as Barnes' grandmother, Flora Barnes said, "He's the nicest person I know. He's a wonderful kid. He's a kid who wouldn't hurt anyone."

According to Anaheim Police Sergeant Bob Dunn, Barnes has been "cooperating with investigators and has indicated this is an isolated incident with unanticipated impacts."
