BLACKPINK referred to as the "biggest girl group in the world" shared their insights about setting a trend both in the music and fashion industry.
On March 15, the second installment of the last episode for SBS' "Legendary Stage Archive K" was broadcasted, featuring current global trend leaders including BLACKPINK.
In the broadcast, BLACKPINK members told various stories about K-pop, and stories about their success on the world stage.

In particular, BLACKPINK which debuted in 2016 under YG Entertainment received explosive attention even before their debut and K-pop enthusiasts with their viral pre-debut dance cover of Rihanna's "BBHMM."
Since then, the growth of their fandom steadily rises, until their debut. Jisoo then said, "When 'Whistle' came out, it came in No. 1. "
Rosé then reminisced that time and shared, "I remember jumping around and liking it. When I looked at the numbers, I thought, do these people really exist?" In fact, the BLACKPINK vocalist who recently dropped her first album, "R" conveyed that she grew up in Australia, that's why she never imagined that she could be a K-pop idol, making their popularity surreal for her.
Meanwhile, Jennie expressed her grateful heart saying, "When we debuted, our proximity to overseas fans was very good. I think the timing was good."
When the quartet also told stories about collaboration with top international female stars such as Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, and Lady Gaga, Jennie said, "We listened to BLACKPINK's songs on different occasions, and it was so fun and new that we listened to them all from the beginning."
"I heard that BLACKPINK has its own color, which is different from my music," she added.

BLACKPINK Discussed Fashion as an Important Factor of their Music
On the same broadcast, the documentary explained the success of BLACKPINK, and the story behind their modifier "YouTube Queen" and their fashion styles that is dominating the music scene.
Jisoo, the main visual of the quartet highlighted, "Fashion is also an important factor in the color of music, that's why we never miss it."
It was evident that the four members Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa who were ambassadors of Dior, Chanel, Yves Saint Laurent, and Celine, respectively, are always showcasing their individual personalities through their outfits yet unified atmosphere.
Her statement was supported by Kim Youngdae, a pop culture critic who said,
"BLACKPINK's image and colorful luxury images give the role model image to K-pop fans regardless of the country.
He added, "BLACKPINK has clarified that since their debut, the group's identity is a luxurious image."
YG has strengthened its image through collaboration with famous brands. The luxurious and fashionable image has made BLACKPINK the best on YouTube."
