Sejeong Drops Teaser for 2nd Mini-Album

Kim Sejeong has shared a new teaser for her new mini-album, along with the official date of her solo comeback!

Sejeong Uploads New Teaser for Second Mini-Album

On March 19, the female K-pop solo artist has dropped the first teaser image for her second mini-album titled "I'm." The close-up shot displays Sejeong's adorable smile and fresh visual which create a light mood.

Together with the teaser is the official date of her much-anticipated solo comeback. The singer will be releasing her second mini-album on March 29 at 6 p.m. KST.

Previously, Sejeong surprised fans by dropping a comeback teaser video. In the video, cryptic error messages in binary and hex code like "Error 502," "10101 00011 11101" and "0x7e5311" were shown popping on a computer screen, raising fans' curiosity about what those numbers mean.

Sejeong's new mini-album "I'm" will mark the female K-pop solo artist's first solo comeback in seven months since the release of her digital single "Whale" in August 2020. Expectations are increasing as to what message the idol will deliver through her second mini-album.

Sejeong's Solo Debut and Individual Activities

In the past years, Kim Sejeong has shown her own broad musical spectrum by releasing solo tracks, collaboration songs, and even an extended play (EP). Her first solo release is the song "Flower Way," which was produced by Block B's Zico and was launched in 2016. The single rose to No. 1 of seven major charts following its launch, and Kim even earned her very first music show trophy as a solo artist with "Flower Way."

In January 2017, Sejeong sang one of the original soundtracks of the Korean drama "The Legend of the Blue Sea," titled "If Only."

Later that year, she recorded "Star Blossom" with NCT's Doyoung for SM Station.

In September 2018, she released another OST titled "Lover," this time for the K-drama "Mr. Sunshine."

Then, the following year, she dropped the single "Tunnel" with Dingo Music.

In March 2020, her first EP "Plant" was released for her official solo debut. The EP contains five songs and four of these were written by Sejeong herself. The lead single of the EP, which is also titled "Plant," was composed and written by Seunwoo Jung-a, with Ahn Shin-ae's participation in the lyrics.

In August last year, she released her first digital single "Whale." Sejeong once again showcased her talent in writing songs and composition as she was also the one who worked on "Whale," alongside Flow Bow and Lee Changwoo. The "whale" in the lyrics symbolizes oneself who used to have no fear.

Also in 2020, Kim Sejeong sang "All of My Days" as an OST of "Crash Landing on You," and "What My Heart Says" for the OST of "Record of Youth." Kim went on to make her musical debut with "Return: The Promise of the Day."

Outside of her solo activities, Sejeong also carried out activities as a member of the girl groups I.O.I and gugudan. Both groups have already disbanded, although I.O.I members plan to reunite and release new music.
