The People magazine recently published a list of talented emerging artists in 2021. According to People, there are the artists they will be keeping an eye on this year. And out of the 30 musicians they mentioned, two of them are K-pop groups: aespa and TXT.

aespa Selected as One of the "Emerging Artists in 2021" by People Magazine
On March 19, People released a list titled "Meet the Talented Emerging Artists Making Their Mark on the Musical Landscape in 2021." SM Entertainment's new girl group, aespa, was the first musician to be listed.
People started their statement by saying, "You'll want to listen to this K-pop group 'Forever.'"
The term "Forever" refers to aespa's new song of the same name.

People described aespa as the "K-pop girl group that is rising to the top fast." The author also mentioned the quartet's debut music video "Black Mamba" already exceeding 100 million views and is the fastest debut K-pop video in YouTube history.
On Nov. 17 last year, SM Entertainment's new girl group aespa made their debut with the release of their single entitled "Black Mamba." On the same day at 6:00 p.m. KST, the music video for the song was dropped.
On Jan. 8 at 5:37 a.m. KST, the "Black Mamba" MV has reached 100 million views. This means it took around one month, 21 days, and 11 hours to hit the mark.
People also introduced the members of aespa being Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing, who have their own virtual avatars. The magazine then stated that this concept of idols having virtual avatars is the first in the K-pop scene.

Moreover, People mentioned aespa being the new ambassadors for Givenchy and gracing the cover of DAZED Korea. They then revealed that the new K-pop girl group is planning to release their debut extended play sometime this summer.
TXT Included in the "Emerging Artists in 2021" List of People Magazine
Apart from the new girl group, HYBE's boy group TOMORROW X TOGETHER, or TXT for short, also made it to the "Emerging Artists in 2021" list of People. The magazine started their statement about the group by saying, "We're Still Dreaming about this next group."
The "Still Dreaming" part pertains to TXT's new Japanese album of the same name.
After introducing the members of the K-pop boy group: Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun, Soobin, and Huening Kai, People shared that TXT's latest extended play "minisode1: Blur Hour" managed to debut at No. 25 on Billboard 200 and No. 1 on the Billboard World Album chart.

They then quoted what TXT told them before, "Music carries messages we can all relate to and connect with. We hope, through our music, we can share our dreams and build a brighter tomorrow together with people all around the world."

The People magazine further mentioned other achievements of TXT, including the time when their debut album "The Dream Chapter: Star" charted on Billboard 200, making the group the first Korean act to have their debut album land on the chart.
People concluded their statement by encouraging the readers to listen to TXT's "Everlasting Shine" from the group's Japanese album "Still Dreaming."
