BLACKPINK Jisoo Receives Divided Opinions after Posting Instagram Photos at the 'Snowdrop' Set

BLACKPINK's Jisoo has been consistently sharing photos on the set of the JTBC drama "Snowdrop," using her Instagram to thank friends, fans, and brands for seeing coffee trucks to support her on set.

Though initially unproblematic, Jisoo is now receiving divided opinions following her recent posting. Keep on reading to learn why.

Why is BLACKPINK's Jisoo Receiving Divided Opinions for Sharing Photos of Her on the "Snowdrop" Set to Instagram?

On Thursday, Mar. 25, Jisoo shared a set of photos on her Instagram. The idol is seen posing in front of a coffee truck, holding a bouquet of flowers and a Shin Ramyun cup. The coffee truck was sent from the idol's Thai fan club.

In the photo set, Jisoo also shares a close-up of the bouquet and the ramen cup.

Her caption reads, "The weather was clear and, thanks to BLINKs, the set was just as bright. BLINKs are the best! #Snowrop #Youngcho."

While international fans praised Jisoo and cheered her on during filming, Korean fans were not as kind. Many people had a problem with the script of "Snowdrop," as it is set in 1987 and revolves around South Korea's nationwide democratization movement. People are hoping that SBS changes the script as soon as possible due to the issues that could arise from it.

However, some decided to take this issue against Jisoo herself. Some wondered if she had even considered the issues "Snowdrop" could bring, with one user on an online community forum saying, "Wow, she did not even realize that her drama would stir problems. I did not expect her to be smart, but her brain seems more empty than I thought."

Some believed that Jisoo sharing photos of her on set appears tone-deaf as if she does not know what the issue surrounding her drama entails. Many expressed disappointment in both SBS and Jisoo, while some are stating that people should boycott "Snowdrop" and everything related to it.

A small group of people also decided to question Jisoo's acting skills. Though Jisoo has some acting experience, appearing on the KBS2 drama "The Producers" and making a cameo appearance in the tvN drama "Arthdal Chronicles," many wondered if she can handle a lead role.

It is also mentioned that Jisoo, with minimal acting experience, has a lead role, while veteran actresses Kim Hye Yoon and Yoo In Na are merely supporting roles. People wonder if Jisoo can hold her own against such accomplished actresses.

What do you think of the situation?
