BTS and ARMYs have something to celebrate today! Jungkook's "Euphoria" is now eligible for a gold certification from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The song has now reached the standard sales for a song to be certified gold.
BTS Jungkook's "Euphoria" Sells 500,000 Units in the US, Now Certifiable for Gold Certification from the RIAA
On March 26, Jungkook's "Euphoria" has already sold 500,000 units in the United States, according to Chart Data. The song becomes the first solo track by a Korean idol to attain such a big amount of sales in the country. Also, it is the first BTS solo song to achieve this feat.
But the good news doesn't stop there.
BTS Jungkook's "Euphoria" is now qualified for a gold certification from the RIAA. Based on the RIAA's certification criteria, a song will be certified gold once it sells 500,000 equivalent units in the US.

"Euphoria" will soon be added to BTS's list of songs with certifications from the RIAA.
And in celebration of another milestone of BTS, especially Jungkook, ARMY (BTS's fan club) took to Twitter to trend hashtags related to the singer and his achievement.
The hashtag "#GoldenEuphoria500K" is trending at No. 1 in South Korea with "Congratulations Jungkook" at No. 5. Fans are also congratulating the BTS member on Twitter.
For starters, BTS is the first Korean group to get RIAA Gold Certification with their track "MIC Drop" back in 2018. And recently, the K-pop boy earned three certifications from the RIAA for their smash hit "Dynamite." The single has been certified, gold, platinum, and double platinum all at the same time.

"Euphoria" is BTS Jungkook's solo track launched on Aug. 24, 2018 as part of the group's album "Love Yourself: Answer." It was first released as the theme song inserted in the band's short film "Euphoria: Theme of LOVE YOURSELF Wonder" video for their "Love Yourself" series. Member RM took part in writing the lyrics of the song.

Upon its release, Jungkook's "Euphoria" quickly became very popular, topping major charts all over the world. It topped iTunes Top Songs Chart in more than 50 countries across the globe.
It also made it to the Billboard World Digital Song Sales Chart. The male idol, in fact, was given the title of the only Korean soloist with two songs that have successfully rank on the chart for a full year: "Euphoria" and "My Time."

BTS Jungkook also extends his record on the said Billboard chart with "Euphoria" as the track ranked No. 7 for this week's rankings. The single has now spent 57 weeks on the World Digital Song Sales chart, still holding the record of the longest-charting K-pop solo track on the Billboard chart.
Furthermore, "Euphoria" is the most-streamed BTS solo track with 210 million streams on Spotify, the most-streamed solo song by a male idol, and the third most-streamed solo track by a Korean artist. Additionally, it is the most-streamed Korean B-side track.
