In a new Instagram post, Amber commemorated the birthday of former member and late singer Sulli.
Amber and Sulli are two of the five members that comprise the K-pop girl group f(x), which debuted in September 2009 under SM Entertainment. The quintet was known for their hit songs like "Electric Shock," "LA chA TA," "Rum Pum Pum Pum," "Hot Summer," and more.

Before debuting as a K-pop idol, Sulli first entered the entertainment industry in 2005 as a child actress. She departed from the group in August 2015 to focus on her acting. However, the idol-turned actress passed away in October 2019.
Sulli was born on March 29, 1994, and yesterday was supposed to be the day she will be celebrating her 27th birthday. Many fans took to Twitter and other social media accounts to remember and greet the late singer. Fans trended a few hashtags, including "HAPPYSULLIDAY."

On March 30, Amber also remembered the birthday of her late friend and former f(x) member. The Chinese-American singer uploaded a past photo showing her and Sulli when they were still young. In the image, Amber and Sulli stood at the door and were looking at each other with their lips pouting.

After training in one and a half years, Amber Liu debuted as the main rapper of the girl group f(x). She has written lyrics for and composed some of the band's songs, such as "Goodbye Summer" from their second studio album "Pink Tape" and "Summer Lover" from their third album "Red Light."

Amber often teamed up with other SM Entertainment artists. She was also featured in several songs, including the lead single of "The First Second," an album of Taiwanese singer Danson Tang. f(x) Amber also appeared in numerous television shows, like the reality programs "Invincible Youth" and "One Fine Day," music show like "Show Champion" and more.
f(x) Amber made her solo debut in February 2015 with an extended play titled "Beautiful." The title track "Shake That Brass" featured Girls' Generation Taeyeon. "Beautiful" scored the No. 2 spot on the Billboard World Albums chart and No. 19 on Heatseekers Albums.

In July 2018, she joined Steel Wool entertainment and carried out activities in the United States. She launched a single album titled "White Noise + Lost at Sea," which contains two tracks, "White Noise" and "Lost At Sea."
In September 2019, Liu left SM Entertainment and continued her singing career with Steel Wool Entertainment as her management agency. Although she left SME, Amber is still part of f(x), which is still on an indefinite hiatus.
In January 2020, Amber Liu dropped her second solo extended play, "X," which consists of six songs. These songs were released each month until the album was launched in January. Amber is currently one of the mentors in the fourth season of the Chinese survival reality series, titled "CHUANG 2021."
