Baekhyun, a member of EXO, reigned on the latest monthly and weekly retail album chart of Gaon! Along with him, IU, Rosé of BLACKPINK, and many more also entered the list.
On April 5, Gaon, a national chart that provides rankings of the best-selling albums which includes mini and single Korean albums, released the K-pop idols and groups that topped its retail album charts for March and 14th Week of 2021.
EXO Baekhyun Dominated Both Gaon Retail Album Chart for March and 14th Week of 2021 + "Bambi" Impressive Records
"One-Top Solo" Baekhyun, who previously released a new album, "Bambi - The 3rd Mini Album" topped the monthly retail album chart in March and the weekly retail album chart in the 14th week.
"Bambi," which is the EXO member's third-mini album released on March 30, was immediately announced as the "top seller on the day" upon its release at 6 p.m.
In addition to this, it also ranked atop the daily charts on April 1, 2, and 3, which secured his spot as No. 1 in the monthly chart for March.
The album which was dropped after almost a year since "Delight" released in May 2020, contains a total of six love-themed R&B genres, including the lead track "Bambi" and b-sidetracks "Love Scene", "All I Got", "Privacy", "Cry For Love" and "Amusement Park".
The album specifically drew more attention from K-pop enthusiasts as this will be apparently one of his last releases, prior to his military enlistment announced to be in May.
Meanwhile, Baekhyun continues to prove his "million-seller" energy as he rose to the top of the domestic and foreign weekly album charts with "Bambi."
On April 5, SM Entertainment also announced that the male singer's third-mini album, swept the top spot in various album charts, including Hanteo Chart, Synnara Records, and Hot Tracks.
The album also topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in 60 regions around the world, including Bahrain, Kenya, Guatemala, and Greece, and proved its global popularity by recording the first Korean male singer album "Double Platinum" (over 2 million yuan) on China's largest music site QQ Music.

BLACKPINK Rosé, IU, Super Junior Join Baekhyun in "Gain Retail Album Chart" Rankings
Along Baekhyun, the main vocalist of BLACKPINK, Rosé who kicked off with her first solo album "-R-" ranked second on the monthly retail album chart in March. The album was released on March 12 and immediately rose as the solo female artist with the highest pre-order sales in Korea, who achieved 400,000 just four days after its album pre-release date.
As for the third place, Super Junior's "The Renaissance - The 10th Album" which is an album to commemorate their 15th debut anniversary claimed the spot.
On the other hand, Gaon also released their rankings for the top-seller on the 14th week dated from March 28 to April 3 this 2021.
Based on the daily retail chart, IU's 5th Album "LILAC" prevailed on the 28th while ATEEZ (ATEEZ) "ZERO: FEVER Part.2" dominated on the 29th; when BAEKHYUN's "Bambi - The 3rd Mini Album" was then dropped on the 30th, it topped the daily chart on the same day, consistently ranking No. 1 on the following days till April 3--- ranking No.1 on Gaon Retail Album Weekly Chart.
