TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) is set to make their first appearance on an upcoming episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The boy group will be performing one of their tracks on the American TV program.
"The Ellen DeGeneres Show" is a popular talk show in the United States hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, a multi-entertainer, writer, actress, and producer. This US TV program has won plenty of awards, including Emmys and People's Choice Awards. World-renowned artists such as Dua Lipa, Bruno Mars, Camilla Cabello, Justin Bieber, and John Legend have guested on the show.
TXT Set to Perform 'We Lost the Summer' on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show"
On April 8, Korean media outlets reported that TXT will be appearing as guests on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show." The episode featuring the K-pop boy group will air on April 16 (local time).
Big Hit Music confirmed the news stating that the band will appear on the American Talk show as part of their global promotion drive.

On that day, TXT members Beomgyu, Soobin, Yeonjun, Taehyun, and Huening Kai will perform the track "We Lost the Summer," a single from their latest Korean mini-album "minisode1: Blue Hour." Released in October last year, the album contains the title track "Blue Hour."
TXT's "We Lost the Summer" is about the struggles experienced when missing your loved ones and being unable to explore due to the COVID-19 pandemic. TXT's Beomgyu said in an interview that the track is about teenagers who are experiencing difficulties because of the pandemic, such as being unable to go to school, hang out with one another, and the likes.

British singer-songwriter Charli XCX co-wrote "We Lost the Summer," which is described to be a dancehall track with hints of tropical house. The choreography of the song features moves that depict the current situation in which people desire to be together but couldn't.
TXT's appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" will mark their first time to guest on an American talk show. Also, it would mark their third appearance on a U.S. platform.
In May last year, TXT guested on the US music show "MTV Fresh Out Live," where they performed "Can't You See Me," the lead single of their second extended play "The Dream Chapter: Eternity." Then, in November 2020, TOMORROW X TOGETHER performed "Blue Hour" on Genius's "Open Mic."
TXT Proves Global Popularity as Their Albums Land on the Billboard Chart
Since its debut, the five-member K-pop boy group has established a great reputation for launching albums and EPs to which teenagers can relate. Thanks to the support of global fans, their latest Korean album "minisode1: Blue Hour" debuted on numerous Billboard charts.

The album managed to be No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales, Top Current Album Sales, and World Albums Chart. It even ranked second on the Billboard Japan Hot Albums, 25th on the Billboard 200, and 29th on the US Tastemaker Albums.
Their debut album, "The Dream Chapter: Star," which was released in March 2019, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Albums and entered at 140th on the Billboard 200.
