BTS' 'Dynamite' Music Video Reaches New Milestone

ARMYs were successful, again, in helping BTS achieve another victory on YouTube. Devoted followers of Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, J-Hope, V, Suga and RM have been trending the hashtag #DynamiteTo1B for days, encouraging others to help the group generate 1 billion views for their "Dynamite" music video.

The new milestone just made "Dynamite," the third music video of BTS, to break the 1 billion views mark. Most, if not all, fans can recall that "DNA" became the first K-pop music video to ever achieved the record, followed by "Boy with Luv," which is the first collaboration of BTS and Halsey, in October 2020.

The "Dynamite" music video did not only get 1 billion views, as it also generated more than 26 million likes and more than 14.6 million comments as of press time. These numbers are expected to surge in the coming days as more and more people discover the exemplary music of BTS.

Before "Dynamite" reached another huge milestone on YouTube, it was reported that the track broke the record for most weeks at No. 1 on Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart. The song, which sold 1.5 million downloads already since its release, entered at No. 1 on Sept. 5, 2020, and became the group's fourth record-smashing track on the tally.

"Dynamite" beat "Despacito" by Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee, and Justin Bieber, which spent 17 weeks at No. 1 in the said list. Other songs with the most weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Digital Song Sales Chart include "Old Town Road" by Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus with 16 weeks in the record, "Closer" by The Chainsmokers and Halsey with 13 weeks, "Uptown Funk!" by Mark Ronson and Bruno Marks with 13 weeks and "Low" by Flo Rida and T-Pain, also, with 13 weeks.
