Former Wanna One member Yoon Ji Sung to Make Acting Debut
On April 13, Yoon Ji Sung's agency, LM Entertainment, announced that the former Wanna One member is confirmed to act in the drama "I'll Be Your Night" as the lead, which is scheduled to be broadcasted in the second half of the year.
"I'll Be Your Night," which will be produced by Big Ocean ENM and Super Moon Pictures, is a sweet yet gruesome story about an in-house doctor and the members of an idol band as they secretly treat one of the world's best idols who suffers from sleepwalking. It will be a romantic healing drama.
Yoon Ji Sung will take on the role of Kim Yoo Chan, the drummer for the band "Luna." In the story, his character debuts as a child actor when he was only seven years old and was given the nickname of "National Son." However, he was soon forgotten by fans, and as he grows up, he becomes an idol trainee and later became a member of the band "Luna."

His character, Kim Yoo Chan, appears to be someone heavily desired in public and even has the nickname of "Mr. Sunshine" among fans for his bright smile all the time. But under all of that, he is a lonely boy covered in scars.
Yoon Ji Sung, who was cast as the lead role for the first time, will be making his acting debut through the drama. The "Energetic" singer showed his stable acting skills in musicals such as "The Days" and "Return: The Promise of the Day," which started his leap as an actor.
Fans are anticipating the return of Yoon Ji Sung and what kind of character and skills he will show through the drama.

Yoon Ji Sung's Debut as Wanna One
In 2017, Yoon Ji Sung became a contestant of Mnet's survival show "Produce 101 Season 2," where he instantly received attention for being the oldest trainee among the contestants at 27 years old in Korean age, whereas the majority of the contestants were in their teens to early twenties.
Overcoming the odds as an independent trainee, Yoon Ji Sung finished at rank no.8 in "Produce 101," becoming part of the final lineup for the project group.
In 2017, Yoon Ji Sung debuted as a member of Wanna One, becoming the group's leader. The group consisted of eleven members: Sungwoon, Minhyun, Guanlin, Seongwu, Jaehwan, Daniel, Jihoon, Woojin, Jinyoung, Daehwi, and Jisung.
Wanna One received as much attention and popularity as their female counterpart, I.O.I, and released six singles, three extended plays, one studio album, and ten music videos during the duration of their activities until 2019.
The group also won numerous awards from music shows and year-end awards.
