CRAVITY is celebrating their first debut anniversary today, April 14! In the past year, the rookie group has shown their steady growth as an artist and has seen an incredible rise in popularity after every release.
In celebration of their debut anniversary, let's take the time to look back on their works and achievements.
On April 14, 2020, Starship Entertainment debuted a nine-piece K-pop boy group called CRAVITY. The members include Allen, Woobin, Jungmo. Hyeongjun, Serim, Taeyoung, Wonjin, Seongmin, and Minhee. The group name is a combination of the words "creativity" and "gravity," which signifies taking you to their universe through the members' unique charm.
CRAVITY's Releases and Achievements in the Past Year
On the day of their debut, CRAVITY launched an extended play titled "Season 1. Hideout: Remember Who We Are." This album landed on the top spot on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart and eventually made it to the monthly album chart of Gaon.

The title track was followed up with the single "Cloud 9," which exudes a refreshing charm and vibrant atmosphere compared to the intense and powerful vibe of "Break All the Rules."
Apart from entering the Gaon Charts, Starship Entertainment's new K-pop boy group was also recognized by Billboard. The band peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Social 50 chart, making them the only 2020 rookie artist to land on Social 50 at the time of their debut.
Furthermore, CRAVITY proved their potential for becoming one of the future biggest acts in K-pop after recording the highest album sales on the Hanteo Chart among the idol groups that debuted in the first half of 2020. The EP sold more than 40,000 albums just two days after release.
As of July last year, the rookie group successfully sold more than 150,000 physical copies of their debut EP in South Korea. This makes CRAVITY the bestselling rookie group in 2020. In addition, "Season 1. Hideout: Remember Who We Are" was in first place on the iTunes Top 100 K-pop Album chart in seven different regions
In August, the new K-pop group made their first comeback with a new EP, titled "Season 2. Hideout: The New Day We Step Into," which features the title track "Flame." The album climbed to the top of the Japanese Tower Records' album chart and again charted first in seven regions on iTunes.
