STAYC members were recently tested for COVID-19 following their appearance on a radio show.
The rookie group is currently in the midst of promoting their new single album "STAYDOM." However, their activities were temporarily halted to get pre-emptively tested for coronavirus.
STAYC to Carry on with Scheduled Activities after Receiving Negative Results for COVID-19
On April 22, High Up Entertainment announced that Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Yoon, Seeun, and J will temporarily pause activities to get tested for COVID-19. This pre-emptive measure was done after being informed that actor Kwon Hyuk Soo was confirmed positive.

Kwon Hyuk Soo appeared as a guest on Jun Hyoseong's radio show on April 19. The following day, April 20, the "SO BAD" singers guested on the same program. Even though they didn't directly cross paths, the company decided to get the members tested to ensure their health and safety, as well as the employees.
On April 23, High Up Entertainment released a follow-up statement regarding STAYC's COVID-19 test results. The company announced that Sumin, Sieun, Isa, Yoon, Seeun, and J have each received a negative test results. Hence, they will be resuming their activities starting today.
STAYC Drops New Single Album "STAYDOM"
On April 8, STAYC released their second single album titled "STAYDOM." This is marked the group's first-ever comeback since their debut five months ago, Nov. 12. The album is composed of three new singles, plus a remix version of their debut song "SO BAD."

Among the songs, "ASAP" serves as the title track of the album. It is described as "low-key" compared to "SO BAD." Even "STAYDOM" was considered a "low-key" and "summer-ready comeback" album by NME (New Musical Express), a British music, culture, and film website and brand.
STAYC's second single album debuted at No. 9 on the Gaon Album Chart, becoming the rookie group's highest-charting release on the chart and their second consecutive Top 10 album.
Meanwhile, "ASAP" is produced by Jeon Gun and hitmakers Black Eyed Pilseung. The lyrics of the track talk about how much the members want their ideal guys to appear in front of them as soon as possible.
Following their comeback, the new K-pop group saw impressive results with "STAYDOM." The album claimed the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top K-pop Album Chart on April 9, and ranked No. 6 on the worldwide iTunes Album Chart on the same day.

The title track "ASAP" also saw success in South Korea. It placed fifth on Bugs, No. 17 on Genie, and even made it to the MelOn 24Hits chart. As of April 23 at 2 p.m. KST, STAYC's "ASAP" is at No. 6 on Bugs, No. 58 on Genie, No. 90 on the old chart of MelOn, and No. 44 on FLO.
In terms of sales, "STAYDOM" has already sold a total of 44,141 copies on Hanteo Chart, which is twice the amount of the cumulative sales of their debut single album, "Star to a Young Culture." It is now the rookie group's bestselling album on Hanteo so far.
