What are the Brand Reputation Rankings?
The brand reputation ranking is an index formed via big data brand analysis. The index helps unearth the consumers' online habits and what affects brand consumption. The brand reputation index helps measure the positive and negative influence of a singer, the media's interest in them, the consumers' interest in them, and the singer's communication volume.
From Mar. 24 to Apr. 24, the Korean Brand Research Institute analyzed 124,486,232 pieces of big data concerning Korean singers. They then determined the singer's participation index, media index, communication index, and community index. Compared to the available data of 121,949,584, the data increased by 2.08%.
BTS is the Most Popular Korean Singer for April 2021
Taking the throne in the first place is BTS (RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, Jungkook) with a brand reputation index of 11,813,702. BTS has a participation index of 3,427,069, a media index of 2,262,950, a community index of 3,180,153, and a communication index of 2,943,530. Compared to their brand reputation index of 12,580,406 in Mar. 2021, their index fell by 6.09%.
Brave Girls is the Most Popular Female Korean SInger for April 2021
Occupying the second-place spot is Brave Girls (Minyoung, Yujeong, Eunji, and Yuna), with a brand reputation index of 9,469,573. Brave Girls has a participation index of 3,777,021, a media index of 1,173,398, a community index of 2,836,051, and a communication index of 1,683,103. Compared to their brand reputation index of 11,020,770 in Mar. 2021, their index fell by 14.08%.
IU is the Most Popular Korean Soloist for April 2021
Third place goes to "The Nation's Little Sister" IU with a brand reputation index of 8,447,827. IU has a participation index of 2,687,795, a media index of 1,422,805, a community index of 2,904,038, and a communication index of 1,432,189. Compared to her brand reputation index of 8,460,932 in Mar. 2021, her index fell by 0.17%.
Lim Young Woong is the Most Popular Male Korean Soloist for April 2021
Lim Young Woong took home fourth place this month with a brand reputation index of 8,246,240. Lim Young Woong has a participation index of 2,895,403, a media index of 1,428,743, a community index of 2,425,147, and a communication index of 1,496,9947. Compared to his brand reputation index of 10,238,854 in Mar. 2021, his index fell by 19.46%.
SG Wannabe Makes Dramatic Entrance in Korean Singers Brand Reputation Ranking for April 2021
Fifth place goes to SG Wannabe (Lim Young Jun, Kim Jin Ho, and Lee Seok Hoon), a group that saw a reverse run on the charts thanks to "You Quiz on the Block," with a brand reputation index of 4,484,265. SG Wannabe has a participation index of 2,190,754, a media index of 534,204, a community index of 859,188, and a communication index of 900,118. Since their debut in 2004, this is their first time making it on to the reputation ranking.
