ENHYPEN is back with a new album, "BORDER: CARNIVAL," which has attained a new highest first-day album sales record! It is the second-highest one for K-pop acts in 2021 so far.
On April 26, the rookie boy group made their combeack with their second mini-album titled "BORDER: CARNIVAL," together with the music video for the title track, "Drunk-Dazed." On the same day, thousands of copies of the album were sold on Hanteo Chart.
ENHYPEN Sets New Highest First-Day Album Sales with "BORDER: CARNIVAL"
On April 27, Hanteo Chart released the Daily Physical Album rankings for April 26. New idol group ENHYPEN came in first place with 319,073 total sales of their new album, setting a new personal record of highest first-day album sales.

The album sales record for "BORDER: CARNIVAL" is almost 100,000 higher than the sales amount of their debut extended play "BORDER: DAY ONE," which sold 229,991 copies on the first day.
ENHYPEN has also surpassed their record of highest first-week album sales with just the first-day sales of their new album. Their debut EP sold 280,873 copies within the first seven days of launch. This means the sales of their comeback album on the first day are roughly 40,000 higher than the sales in the first week of their debut EP.
In addition to this, ENHYPEN's "BORDER: CARNIVAL" now has the No. 1 highest first-day album sales on Hanteo Chart among the fourth-generation idol groups. Next is "QUANTUM LEAP," the debut album by disbanded boy group X1, which sold 268,008 copies.

Among the K-pop artists that released a new album this year, ENHYPEN has the second-highest sales on the first day so far. "BORDER: CARNIVAL" with 319,073 copies follows EXO Baekhyun's "Bambi" with 760,154 copies.

After the rookie group's second mini-album, BLACKPINK Rosé's solo debut album "R" takes third place with 282,674 copies. Next is Kang Daniel's "YELLOW" with 229,795 copies.
As seen above, "BORDER: CARNIVAL" becomes the second album to surpass 300,000 copies on Hanteo Chart on the first day for K-pop artists.
Additionally, ENHYPEN's second mini-album is the album by an idol group, so far, with the highest first-day sales and first-week sales. As of April 27 at 12:20 p.m. KST, "BORDER: CARNIVAL" has reached 337,204 copies sold, beating their record with "BORDER: DAY ONE," which has sold 334,647 copies.

Meanwhile, the rookie group's new album has dominated iTunes charts in different countries across the globe. As of press time, "BORDER: CARNIVAL" has claimed the No. 1 spot on iTunes Top Albums chart in 25 countries including Russia, Japan, Dominican Republic, Australia, Brazil, and more.

ENHYPEN's second mini-album has also topped the Daily Retail Album Chart of Gaon with 257,300 copies sold. It is also No. 1 on the real-time Retail Album Chart with 4,761 copies.
