The Late Goo Hara's House Theft Case Investigation Closed by Police

According to Korean media outlet, Money Today on Wednesday, April 28, the Seoul Gangnam Police Station had closed the case in which a personal safe was stolen at the late Goo Hara's home in January 2020.

In March 2020, the police had received a report from the late Goo Hara's brother, Goo Ho In regarding the house theft and instigated an internal investigation on the case.

However, as it was difficult to identify the suspect who broke in Goo Hara's home, the investigation was closed and completed on December 17, 2020.

According to Money Today on the 28th, the Seoul Gangnam Police Department announced on the 28th that it had closed the case in which a personal safe was stolen at Goo Hara's home in January 2020.

In March 2020, the police received a report from the late Koo Hara's brother, Gu Ho-in, and initiated an internal investigation, but it was difficult to identify the suspect, and the investigation was completed on December 17, 2020.

An official from the police station said, "The person concerned, investigation on the site, and CCTV investigation were conducted from various angles, but the suspect was not identified, so it was [case] unstructured."

In January 2020, the late Goo Hara's personal safe in her home disappeared, and her family subsequently filed a complaint with the police in March 2020.

In the CCTV footage of Goo Hara's home, which was previously released by her brother, Goo Ho In in October 2020, an unindetified male was seen attempting to enter the late singer's home by entering the password at the front door. According to Goo Hara's side, the criminal is likely to be an experienced and knowledgeable criminal as he knew the password to the door.

In this regard, the police said that they couldn't find out who the suspect was with only the video submitted by Goo Hara's family. In addition, they explained that they can only go further into the investigation if given additional clues on the matter.

Goo Hara was a member of KARA from 2008 until her death in November 2019, where she was found dead in her home at Gangnam. After further investigation by the police, her death was ruled as a suicide.
