Portia De Rossi Gets A Whole New Look On Arrested Development

Actress and wife of comedienne Ellen Degeneres, Portia de Rossi, who reprised her role as "activist" Lindsay Bluth-Funke, on the comedy "Arrested Development", looks vastly different on screen than she does in more recent interviews and pictures. The very noticeable change in her appearance has led many viewers to wonder whether de Rossi had had plastic surgery.

Her face appears to be transformed. Her cheekbones appear as pronounced as the skin on her forehead and her cheeks looks flawless which is sparking speculation of a brow lift, Botox, implants and even a nose job.

The last time de Rossi assumed the role was in 2006. The comedy was then axed by Fox after a short yet critically-acclaimed three-season run.

Netflix revamped the show and brought it back for audiences to stream online. The show has been met with mixed reactions. Some fans have even taken to the social media site Twitter to express their feelings regarding the show and de Rossi's new look.

"Jesus Portia De Rossi doesn't even look like the same person!" Jeremy Wilhelm wrote.

"I don't get why Netflix spent all this much money on CGI morphing effects for Portia De Rossi's face," Cabel Maxfield Sasser tweeted.

Some fans have stepped up to defend the actress, realizing the new look could easily have been hair and make-up.

"It is so obviously the wig & make-up. Haters," Kelly Carey said.

According to Eonline, "She's absolutely not had plastic surgery," a source tells the site."Her character is clearly wearing a wig, which ended up altering her entire look."

Body image has been a constant struggle for Portia. The actress battled anorexia in her 20s, reaching a low point of only 82 pounds on her five-foot-eight frame. The former Ally McBeal star says she lived on 300 calories a day and hid it from her castmates and friends.
