INFINITE Sungjong to be Discharged From Military + To Hold V Live
On May 8 KST, INFINITE's agency, Woollim Entertainment, announced that Lee Sungjong will be getting discharged from the military today.
Lee Sungjong has been serving his mandatory military service as a social worker since July 22, 2019. After faithfully fulfilling his military service for about a year and 10 months, he will finally be able to greet fans once again.

Upon his discharge, Lee Sungjong said, "I'm sorry that I couldn't communicate with Inspirit before I went to serve. I'll repay you all with a lot of activities to show how sorry I am."
He added that he hopes for the situation with COVID-19 gets better and calms down quickly, so that he can meet face-to-face with fans rather than just through online.
"I will see you all with great activities and content planned in the future. Thank you," said Lee Sungjong.
Lee Sungjong, who debuted as a member of Infinite back in 2010, has since gained popularity throughout the years. He and Infinite have released numerous hit songs such as "Last Romeo," "The Chaser," "The Eye," "Be Mine" and more.

In addition, Lee Sungjong also appeared on numerous entertainment programs such as SBS's "Law of the Jungle" in Tonga and Channel A's "Sales King TV." Besides showing off his entertainment skills, he also showed his way of talking by hosting various shows.
Lee Sungjong also appeared in his first-ever drama through SBS's short drama, "Mysterious Nurse," taking on the challenge as an actor and being recognized as an all-around entertainer.
From August 2018 to September 19, Lee Sungjong also took on the DJ role for EBS's radio show, "Midnight Black," and received a lot of love from listeners and fans.
Meanwhile, Lee Sungjong is scheduled to meet with fans for the first time since his discharge through Naver's V-Live on May 9 at 5pm KST to commemorate his discharge and return.

INFINITE Members' Departure from Woollim Entertainment
Recently, on March 29 KST, fellow INFINITE member Kim Sung Kyu made his solo comeback with his new single album, "Won't Forget You." The album was released under Woollim Entertainment despite not being an artist under the agency anymore after his contract expiration on May 6, and subsequently departing from the agency.
Although they have not disbanded, several INFINITE members have left Woollim Entertainment to pursue their individual activities. L departed the agency in August 2019 after his contract expiration, and enlisted for his mandatory military service back in February 22.
Lee Sungyeol completed his mandatory military service in October 27, 2020. On March 31, 2021, he and fellow member, Jang Dongwoo, departed from Woollim Entertainment.
