ITZY, HIGHLIGHT, and More: These are the Most-Watched K-Pop MVs in the 19th Week of 2021

ITZY's "Mafia in the Morning" is the Most Viewed K-Pop Music Video from May 2 to May 8

Ranking at the top is ITZY's music video for "Mafia in the Morning," which garnered 49,605,387 new views from May 2 to May 8. The video has maintained the top spot for two weeks in a row.

The music video surpassed 50 million total views on May 3, three days after the music video was released. This is their fastest music video to do so.

Previously, their music video for "WANNABE" was the fastest to surpass 50 million views, doing so in five days.

In response to ITZY's growth, K-Pop Radar said, "Compared to 'WANNABE,' which took 43 days to reach 100 million views, "Mafia in the Morning" is likely to reach 100 million views by May if they continue to gain views at this pace. They will be able to break their own record."

According to K-Pop Radar's analysis, ITZY garnered 104 million views on their YouTube Channel from May 1 to May 8. Most of their viewers came from Indonesia, which amounted to 9.5% of the viewers. South Korea followed this with 8.7%, Japan with 7.7%, India with 7.6%, and the Philippines with 7.1%.

HIGHLIGHT's "NOT THE END" is the Most Viewed K-Pop Boy Group Music Video from May 2 to May 8

Coming in second place is HIGHLIGHT's music video for "NOT THE END." According to data from K-Pop Radar, the music video garnered 13,791,7766 views from May 2 to May 8.

As of press time (May 3, 2021), the music video has 15,627,616 views. This is HIGHLIGHT's first release as a four-member group since Nov. 20, 2018.

"NOT THE END" also marks the first time HIGHLIGHT has made a comeback as a four-member group.

The boy group released their third mini-album, "The Blowing," on May 3 after a two and half years of hiatus.

Currently, HIGHLIGHT is composed of members Yoon Doojoon, Yang Yoseob, Lee Gikwang, and Song Dongwoon.

Yong Junghyun left the group on Jan. 24, 2019, after admitting to watching illegal sex videos sent to him by Jung Joonyoung.

Back in Apr. 2016, Jang Hyunseung left the group due to creative differences between him and the members.
