'Captain Marvel' Star Brie Larson Shares a Short Cover of BLACKPINK Rosé's 'On The Ground'

On May 11 KST, the star of the hit 2019 Marvel film, "Captain Marvel," Brie Larson, who plays the titular character, uploaded on her social media accounts her own rendition of BLACKPINK Rosé's solo debut song, "On The Ground"!

Brie Larson shows off a little "Rosé magic" for everyone with her acoustic version of "On The Ground" using her guitar, and singing from the verse until the chorus, giving the song a more raw and sentimental feeling.

Fans have flocked to Brie Larson's cover video and praised the actress for both her singing and song choice. Some fans of Brie Larson even thanked the actress for letting them discover the amazing song!

"On The Ground" is the Longest-Charting K-Pop Song on Worldwide iTunes in 2021

BLACKPINK Rosé's "On The Ground," which was released on March 12, is currently the longest-charting K-Pop song on Worldwide iTunes in 2021 so far.

On Worldwide iTunes Top Song chart, "On The Ground" ranked at no.98 back in May 5, making it the only K-Pop song by a female solo artist to chart within the Top 100. Currently, the song has dropped to no.169, as of writing.

Rosé's debut song has been on the charts for a total 60 days straight, making it the longest-charting K-Pop song on Worldwide iTunes Top Song chart in 2021, so far. In addition, "On The Ground" peaked at no.1 for a total of three times on the charts.

The "Gone" singer also achieved a new milestone of becoming the third female K-Pop solo artist to peak at no.1 on the Worldwide iTunes Top Song chart, following the "Nation's Little Sister," IU, and South Korea's "it girl" and fellow BLACKPINK member, Jennie.

In other news, upon the release of "On the Ground," the song went on to enter the ranks at no. 43 on Britain's Official Singles Chart Top 100, making Rosé the first female K-Pop solo artist to do so.

Rosé is also the second BLACKPINK member to make her solo debut, following Jennie. Regarding Jisoo and Lisa's solo debuts, no updates have been given yet.
