Former After School Member Lizzy Under Investigation for Drunk Driving

On May 19, KST, Celltrion Entertainment, the former After School member turned actress, Lizzy's agency, and the Seoul Gangnam Police Station revealed that Lizzy violated road traffic laws by driving under the influence and is currently under investigation. Lizzy, who now promotes under the name Park Soo Ah, admitted to her charges of drunk driving.

On May 18 at around 10 pm KST, Lizzy was reportedly driving around Cheongdam, a neighborhood in Seoul's Gangnam District, where she had a rear-end collision accident with a taxi at a nearby intersection at the south end of Yeongdong Bridge.

When police measured her alcohol level at the scene, Lizzy had a blood alcohol concentration that was at the level for canceling her driver's license.

According to the police, the accident was relatively minor, and neither the taxi driver nor Lizzy suffered significant damage. In addition, Lizzy was driving alone without a passenger.

Admitting to the charges brought against her, Lizzy said, "I am ashamed of the fact that I was driving while I was drunk, and I am regretting it. I will cooperate with the investigation."

Lizzy made her debut as a member of After School in 2010. In 2019, she graduated from the group and has since then focused on her acting career.

Lizzy's Career in a Glimpse

On March 15, 2010, Lizzy made her debut as a member of After School, joining the group for their third single, "Bang!" In the same year, Lizzy formed a sub-unit, Orange Caramel, of After School with her fellow members Nana and Raina, and released a mini-album, "The First Mini Album," with their lead single "Magic Girl."

Lizzy went on to start her solo activities by joining SBS's variety show, "Running Man," as a cast member in 2011. She eventually left the show later in the year to focus on MBC's "All My Love," where she made her acting debut.

Her solo activities continued, such as collaborating with other artists, making cameo appearances and acting in dramas, and joining variety shows as an official cast member. In 2015, Lizzy made her debut as a solo artist with the trot song "Not An Easy Girl."

On May 1, 2018, after releasing many hit songs with After School and Orange Caramel such as "Catallena," "AH," "Shampoo," "Diva," and more, she graduated from the group after her contract expired, and later joined her current agency, Celltrion Entertainment. On July 3, Lizzy changed her name to Park Soo Ah for promotions.
