Boyfriend Announces Title and Release Date of Special Single for 10th Debut Anniversary

Boyfriend's 10th debut anniversary will take place this May, and to celebrate the meaningful event, the members will reunite and release a special single.

Boyfriend to Release Special Single "ENDING CREDIT" for 10th Debut Anniversary

Through a new Instagram account, Boyfriend unveiled the title and the release date of the special single they will drop for their upcoming 10th debut anniversary.

According to the post, the song will be titled "ENDING CREDIT," featuring all six members - Jeongmin, Hyunseong, Minwoo, Youngmin, Donghyun, and Kwangmin.

Boyfriend's "ENDING CREDIT" will be a fan song that the boy group wrote while thinking about their fans, generally called Best Friend. The track will be their way of expressing their gratitude and unchanging love for fans who have never forgotten them.

Boyfriend members Donghyun and Jeongmin took part in writing and composing the single. For the forthcoming release, the boy group collaborated with producer 9F.

It is said that "ENDING CREDIT" will be a modern rock song, which will best showcase the vocals of the members compared to their previous songs. In the climax part, all six members of Boyfriend will be singing together to better emphasize the lyrics and the message of the track.

Meanwhile, in the released cover image for their 10th debut anniversary single, the word "END" is seen blurred out, while "ING" and "CREDIT" are vivid. This aspect appears to say that there will never be an end for Boyfriend, instead, it will always be a new beginning, mainly for the members' careers.

Apart from releasing a fan song for their 10th debut anniversary, Boyfriend is also planning to hold a live communication with the fans, where all six members will appear together for the first time in a long time.

Boyfriend's "ENDING CREDIT" will be released on May 26 at 6 p.m. KST through various streaming platforms.

Boyfriend's Final Releases and Activities Two Years before Disbandment in May 2019

Two years before Boyfriend disbanded, they released Korean and Japanese albums.

In February 2017, the boy group dropped their ninth Japanese single album titled "Miss You." It features four songs, including the title track of the same name.

After five months, Boyfriend made another Japanese comeback with the release of their first Japanese mini-album, "Summer." On July 20, eight days following release, it was announced that the album took first place on the Tower Records Weekly Chart for the week of July 10 to 16.

Boyfriend was then on hiatus for two years. In August 2017, the band made their first domestic comeback after two years with their fourth Korean mini-album, "Never End." The album's title track, "Star," was composed by Boyfriend member Jeongmin, with Minwoo and Kwangmin participating in the rap lyrics.

Also, in 2017, Boyfriend members Donghyun, Jeongmin, Minwoo, and Kwangmin auditioned for KBS's idol-rebooting program called "The Unit," but only Donghyun passed. Throughout the show, Donghyun made it to the top 9, however, he was eliminated in the last episode after ranking 12th.

In February 2019, just three months before their disbandment, Boyfriend dropped their final Japanese single titled "Stay The Way You Are," which is part of their album "Bouquet."
