NCT 127 to Release Collaboration Song 'Save' with Amoeba Culture

NCT 127 has collaborated with record label Amoeba Culture and they are set to drop a new song, titled "Save."

On May 27, Amoeba Culture teased the collaboration with mysterious photos. They also shared that day that they will release a project single with an artist outside the company.

Amoeba Culture is founded by hip-hop act Dynamic Duo and CEO Go Kyungmin and is home to HA:TFELT.

On May 28, Amoeba Culture officially revealed that NCT 127 is their chosen artist to sing the project single "Save." The record label has released the album cover image for their upcoming collaboration via Twitter.

In the photo, a memory chip with the words "NCT 127" and "SAVE" is seen floating in the air with water droplets around it. Behind the memory chip are trees and rocks with mosses.

"Save" will be NCT 127's second release this year, after their Japanese album, "Loveholic," which was launched in February.

NCT 127 and Amoeba Culture's project song "Save" is due out on June 4 at 6 p.m. KST on various music sites.

Early this May, NCT 127 participated in Global Citizen's "Vax Live: The Concert to Reunite the World." The boy group performed their powerful song, "Kick It." This event was conducted to address the widespread need for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines across the globe.

NCT 127's 2020 Achievements with "Neo Zone" and Repackaged Album "Neo Zone: The Final Round"

Last year, NCT 127 made a domestic comeback with their second full-length album, "Neo Zone," in March. It has become the group's best-selling album to date after selling more than 700,000 units in the first month.

NCT 127's "Neo Zone," described as a multi-genre album, topped the Gaon Album Chart for March 2021. It also becomes the band's first top 5 entry on the Billboard 200 chart, having a first-week sales amount of 87,000 album-equivalent units.

As of April 2020, "Neo Zone" recorded cumulative sales of more than 805,000 copies in South Korea. With this, NCT 127 earned their first multi-Platinum certification from the Korea Music Content Association.

The album's title track, "Kick It," was also a success in the K-pop scene. It is defined as a "high-energy" song with "inspirational lyrics" that depict the music identity of NCT 127.

It has become the group's first top 30 entry on the Gaon Digital Chart, and so far, their longest-ranking song on the chart.

NCT 127's "Kick It" went on to enter more charts, such as Billboard K-pop Hot 100, Billboard World Digital Song Sales, Billboard Japan Hot 100, and New Zealand Hot Singles.

In May, NCT 127 released the repackaged version of "Neo Zone," titled "Neo Zone: The Final Round." Combined sales of "Neo Zone" and the repackaged album surpassed 1.2 million copies, becoming the group's first album to exceed one million total sales.
