BTS's "Butter" Makes Debut at No.3 on UK's Official Charts
According to UK's Official Charts on May 28 local time, BTS's second all-English song, "Butter," which was released on May 21 KST, made its debut at no.3 on the latest Official Singles Chart.
Official Charts also revealed that "Butter" was the most downloaded single during the week, with more than 10,000 digital copies sold.
As a result, "Butter" took first place in both the Official Singles Download and Official Singles Sales charts. In addition, the BTS song also ranked at no.7 on the Official Audio Streaming chart.

"Butter," which took the third spot on the Official Singles Chart, recorded the same all-time record set by BTS's first all-English song, "Dynamite," which was released in August last year when it made its debut on the Official Singles Chart at no.3.
In addition, on the Official Albums Chart, BTS had already topped the charts twice with "MAP OF THE SOUL: Persona," released in April 2019, and "MAP OF THE SOUL: 7," released in February 2020.
In recent years, as BTS's fandom, ARMY, has grown and the awareness on the group has increased, their entering into the top spots in the charts where popularity is important goes to show how far BTS has come in the last eight years since their debut in June 2013.
In November of last year, their song "Life Goes On," sung in Korean, also took place at no.10 on the Official Singles Chart. "Boy With Luv" that featured American singer, Halsey, placed at no.13, while "ON" and "IDOL" both took debuted at no.21, and "Fake Love" at no.42.

A total of 17 BTS singles placed in the Official Singles Chart, and nine BTS albums on the Official Albums Chart. The records of "Dynamite" and "Butter" are the second-highest among Korean singers in the Official Singles Chart, with PSY topping the chart in 2012 with his worldwide hit, "Gangnam Style."
The UK's Official Charts is considered a representative chart alongside the US Billboard and is aggregated and released weekly by the British music ranking provider, Official Charts Company. It aggregates over 50 charts, including albums and singles, of which the Singles Chart ranks the most popular songs in the UK based on streaming, music, and album sales.
"Butter" Becomes Fastest Song to Surpass 100 Million Streams in Spotify History
On May 29, KST, BTS's "Butter" has surpassed 100 million streams on the major music streaming platform, Spotify, just eight days after the single's release on May 21.
With "Butter" only taking a total of eight days to reach this milestone, it became fastest song in Spotify history to do so. BTS's first all-English song, "Dynamite," previously held the record with 15 days to surpass 100 million streams.
In addition, this brings BTS's total songs with more than 100 million streams on Spotify to 62. BTS also ranks first as the Korean artist with the most number of songs surpassing 100 million streams, followed by BLACKPINK with 16 songs.
"Butter" currently holds the title as the most-streamed song in the first 24 hours of its debut, with more than 11 million global streams. BTS is also the most-streamed act on the platform, with more than 16.3 billion streams in all of their songs combined, as of April 27.

Meanwhile, BTS released a "Hotter" version of "Butter" on May 28, KST.
