On Saturday, May 29, Chaumet released a promotional clip and photoshoot featuring former IZ*ONE member Jang Wonyoung. While fans are happy to see Wonyoung back in the spotlight, the photoshoot ultimately disappointed some.

On May 29, Chaumet released a promotional video for their Joséphine collection. The video was shared to Jang Wonyoung and ELLE Korea's Instagram.
As WIZ*ONE's know, Jang Wonyoung is favored by many brands for her doll-like beauty, and many are ecstatic that the idol was able to book her first promotional contract following IZ*ONE's disbandment.
However, the results of the promotional video proved to be less than satisfactory.
Why? The reason is because of her styling. Jang Wonyoung is usually seen in sparkling make-up that highlights her youthful glow. However, for her CF with Chaumet, Jang Wonyoung is seen with minimal make-up and light pink lip gloss. Many believed this look "pulled down" the idol's attractiveness.

Additionally, her long flowing hair made it difficult for the female idol to pose. Some fans commented that it appeared more like a shampoo commercial than a luxury jewelry brand promotional video, as her hair often covered up all the jewelry on her hands and neck.

Many believed that since Jang Wonyoung is only 16 years old (18 years old in South Korea), she should have been styled to look more youthful and active rather than mature and sensual. The brand's overall concept, which focuses on luxury, elegance, and class for an older audience, appeared to not suit Jang Wonyoung, who is known for her fruity visuals.
