All-around performer HOYA is set to return with a new single, titled "1AM," set for a June 9th release.

The new single "1AM" marks the artist's comeback in about three years since his last single, "Baby U" featuring Kriesha Chu released last September 12, 2018. His upcoming digital single, "1AM," contains another meaning as the number one ("1") can also be read as I, as in the first-person pronoun. It makes the title readable as either one AM, or I AM, referring to himself and his story that will be told through the track. As fans would expect, he is also involved in all aspects of the song's composition and production, raising excitement and curiosity as to how his musicality has grown since his last release.

Additionally, his new digital single "1AM" will contain a fusion of different R&B elements, laid over a guitar and piano rhythm that will carry lyrics he wrote himself. Additionally, the song will have its music video, with actress Lim Se-mi ("Love on a Rooftop," "True Beauty") bringing HOYA's vision to life. According to a statement from HOYA's talent management agency, Glorious Entertainment, the Korean artist will also be directing the upcoming "1AM" music video. More than just an actor who has appeared in various K-dramas such as 2014's "My Lovely Girl" and 2017's Two Cops," HOYA is an artist who has definitely learned what it takes to deliver visions to his audiences. He creates an immersive and intimate experience through his one-take filming techniques that elevates the emotions contained within the song.

Born Lee Ho-dong, the all-around artist also known as Lee Ho-won and HOYA first debuted as a vocalist and rapper in the K-pop boy group Infinite from 2010 until 2017. He then made his solo debut on March 28, 2018 with his first EP "Shower.

Aside from his career in the Korean music industry, he has also made a number of appearances in films and television dramas, making his acting debut with the 2012 drama "Reply 1997."
