TWICE's "Taste of Love" Attains Highest First-Day Album Sales for a K-pop Girl Group This 2021
On June 11, the physical album of TWICE's "Taste of Love" was officially released. This is the girl group's first album in nearly eight months since "Eyes Wide Open" in October last year.
According to TWICE's leader Jihyo, "Taste of Love" showcases the group's growth and their confidence to talk about love. The album is composed of a total of seven songs, including the title track "Alcohol-Free," which they pre-released on June 9.

On the day of release, Hanteo Chart tallied the copies of the physical album that were sold. It was revealed on June 12 that TWICE's "Taste of Love" recorded more than 150,000 copies on the previous day - 180,236 copies to be exact.
This is not only the highest number of copies sold on June 11, but it is also the newest overall highest first-day album sales for a K-pop girl group this 2021 on Hanteo Chart.
TWICE's "Taste of Love" has now surpassed (G)I-DLE's "I Burn" that sold 75,510 copies on January 11.

Other than this, "Taste of Love" has recorded TWICE's new second-highest sales on the first day. This record was previously held by "Eyes Wide Open" with 107,345 copies.
TWICE's "Taste of Love" now comes after "MORE & MORE" with 274,472 copies sold on the first day of sales. Moreover, it is now the girl group's third album to sell more than 100,000 copies in a day on Hanteo Chart, following "MORE & MORE" and "Eyes Wide Open."
"MORE & MORE" currently holds the second-highest first-day sales of all time for a K-pop girl group. Meanwhile, "Taste of Love" has achieved the new fifth-highest first-day album sales in history for a female group.

TWICE's "Taste of Love" Climbs to No. 1 on 31 iTunes Album Charts
In other news, TWICE's new album "Taste of Love" not only ranked first on Hanteo Chart on June 11 but also rose to the top of iTunes charts on the same day.
TWICE's new album climbed to No. 1 on iTunes Album Charts in a total of 31 overseas countries including Greece, Singapore, Russia, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, and more.

"Taste of Love" also debuted on the Worldwide iTunes Album chart, claiming the No. 2 spot on June 12. This is TWICE's highest peak on the chart. It maintains its position on the second spot as of the June 13 chart.
Over on iTunes Top 100 K-pop Albums chart for June 14, TWICE's "Taste of Love" sits at No. 1. This daily chart ranks the most popular and best-selling K-pop albums on iTunes on a particular day.
In addition, TWICE's new album is at No. 19 on the iTunes Top 100 Albums Chart 2021 as of June 14. This chart is based on the number of downloads on iTunes on a certain day.
