MONSTA X Minhyuk Shows Knowledge, Sophistication in 'Differential Class'

MONSTA X Minhyuk shows that he's more than just a pretty face, appearing as a special guest and a surprise auctioneer at the JTBC show "Differential Class."

He actively participated as a panelist who asked a lot of questions about the theme of "METAVERSE, Another World Where My Children Live." Right at the start of the show, Minhyuk draw attention when started to yawn.

The MONSTA X member raised curiosity when he auctioned it off, closing it to a 200 million won offer from the host and entrepreneur Hong Jin-kyung.

"It seems like a ridiculous concept, but it's all real things," Minhyuk said in the show. "If you don't want to miss the trend, please pay attention to it until the end."

After the auction, Minhyuk sat down and joined the Differential Class, and listened to the discussion of the episode's topic. The other guest for that episode was Vision AI Specialist Bae Soon-min, who also serves as the director of the AI2XL Laboratory. She discussed "Metaverse, A Different World Where my Son and Daughter Lives."

The metaverse refers to the new experience or reality experienced mostly by the younger generation as a result of the physical world interacting and blending with technology in the form of virtual/ augmented reality, and the Internet.

MONSTA X Minhyuk, who is a popular idol and a radio program host, displayed his intelligence as he carried himself on the discussions on the matter. He shared his experience, especially with the fan cam culture where fans focus attention and coverage on a particular idol or group member.

Minhyuk also demonstrated how he quickly picked up the topic, saying that "If trained AI distinguishes and recognizes each member, fans can watch the performance comfortably with the camera on."

Carrying the trademark love and affection for their MONBEBE, Minhyuk also presented how artificial intelligence systems could better give fans a better viewing experience. One of his hopes over the course of the discussion was that fans who also sit far away during concerts could see their idols up close through Vision AI technology.

Minhyuk has proven time and again how he adapts to the conversation at hand, as well as his witty, thoughtful, and even funny responses. He currently hosts the Naver NOW show "VogueShip Show," and has made appearances as an MC in the SBS' "Inkigayo" and MBC "Weekly Idol" among others.
